The description says "Ink can be refilled in the stamp side when ink runs out." but I cannot find any instructions online or with the item. How then?

There is a little hole on the side. Just be sure to fill it sparingly. It doesn't take much. If you do use too much, just run it over paper a few times. It will leave a streak but as the ink gets used up, it will work again. I saw another write up about wiping alcohol over the ink and it will be removed. It does, but as long as the paper is of "absorbant" quality, it will work when it dries. Otherwise, shreadding is still the best option!

Does this work for prescription bottles? Without having to use a sharpie with it?

I just tried it on a prescription bottle and it wiped off with a dry paper towel. Tried it earlier in the evening on a catalog and it wiped off with a paper towel after sitting fir about three hours. Worked great on regular paper though.

Does ink wipe off with alcohol?

I didn’t try with alcohol but it wiped off slick paper (a catalog and a prescription bottle) with a dry paper towel.
