Easy to install and seems to be sturdy enough to handle my Golden Doodle going in and out frequently.

The media could not be loaded.  When we first received this, I thought it looked great! It was super easy to install and fit perfectly. Unfortunately, very quickly I realized that the magnet only catches about half the time. The other half the time the flap stays slightly open which lets the a/c out (or heat out in the winter). Worst of all, even when the flap is closed, this particular style has a small opening at both bottom corners that lets flies in. I killed 15 flies just last night in my kitchen. I cannot deal with that so I am returning it and buying the namebrand pet safe one. My opinion is that it’s worth the extra $10 or so to buy the namebrand one.

I ordered this to replace a Pet Safe door flap. In the picture it shows the plastic extends down to the sides of the magnetic strip. That is not the case on the product that I received. There are large gaps on each side of the magnetic strip. Bugs and mosquitoes could easily fly in given the gaps and it is not energy efficient. It’s not a size problem- it’s the way that it’s made. The seller states that it’s compatible with Pet Safe doors, but that was not the case.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the factory holes didn't line up with my older PetSafe door insert. However, it was very easy to mark and drill the 2 holes in the flap to make it work with our door frame. This flap seems to be a better quality than what was in the door when I purchased it used. I don't think that the flap I took out was an original as it also had other holes in it, so I can't say how it compares to an original flap. Definitely worth the price.
