Junk
I purchased this thumb drive after a previously purchased thumb drive failed me. I began by reformatting the drive, as it is known that some USB devices ship with malware installed. However, it failed to handle the backups for which I intended it. I tried reformatting it in several ways, and carried out a number of experiments in my effort to get it performing effectively in any fashion. I tried it on my laptop as well as my desktop, and never could get it working properly. It is slow, slow, slow; I have now been waiting for two hours for it to delete 150 GB of files; it took eight hours to save those files onto the thumb drive.Perhaps this device has special formatting requirements and cannot be expected to function with conventional formatting; if so, this should be prominently displayed on the sales page and on the packaging. I saw no such warnings.I suppose that I shall have to continue to rely on rotating media hard drives.

10 years of memory were transferred to this Drive
10 years of business files and photos transferred without a problem. I'm glad I did this!

Piece of junk
I have tried to use this USB on several computers, operation systems, have formatted it in a different formats to the same result. After a while the drive just stops working. I get errors galore. Something about the drive being corrupted, something about the "super block" cannot be read. Seriously, I have never had to much trouble with a USB ever. The price was right but not really when the drive is worthless and cannot store data for longer than 2 days. Next time I'll spend the extra for a name brand.

Spontaneously erases files
Move your files to this drive, then watch them disappear. I lost all my African safari pictures because of this USB drive. Do not buy if you do not want to loose your files. This is the most unreliable USB drive I have ever used. I'm so upset about loosing all my pictures. Please heed my warning, this drive is extremely unreliable!

Maybe my fault - but lost files/corrupted
I spent hours downloading videos from my Amazon prime photos account onto this drive. After 3.5 hours of doing this suddenly the flashdrive said it was corrupt and lost all files. I had to reset the flash drive and delete everything. I then had to go recover all my videos from my deleted file in phone to rehollad everything - and I just gave up trying to do the transfer. After 4.5 hours I accomplished nothing. I would give a lower star rating - but this possibly was a user error on my part so I’m trying to be fair. This is not the first time I’ve put photos or videos on a flash drive - this is the first time I’ve ever encountered corruption and having to delete everything and start over.

Don't buy this item
I bought two of these and intended to use one as my back-up. I would copy photos to this and at first it worked fine. As I continued using this and backing up photos, I would copy entire files only to go back the next day and find "this file is empty." I'd try copying it again, and it would say I had X number of files with the same description and how did I want to handle it. Same results. Nothing would show but the folder recognized something was there. I bought a brand name thumb drive and I had NO issues with it. These may be cheap (which is why I bought two of them), but they are PURE JUNK!

No stars!!!
I knew this was too good to be true. The item arrived in a package that said it was compatible with Windows 2000 and Windows XP. That should've been my first warning to automatically return it, but I thought I could give it a chance. Big mistake. When I opened the package, a horrible chemical-like smell flooded my nostrils. I thought maybe the smell would go away. Wrong!! The metal smell remained on my hands until I washed them. So, I plug the drive into my computer and checked how much space was on the drive. It said 946GB. I said okay, I should be able to transfer a few things. So, after waiting all night for my files to transfer, (after I already had to format the USB once because it became corrupted after transferring a couple of GB), I ejected the drive from my computer. I plugged it back in and suddenly the drive is corrupted and files can't be opened. The only solution is to format the drive....again. Instead, I decided to buy a real drive from a reputable company. I literally spent money on a piece of trash that doesn't work. Don't waste your time or money on this.
