Washable
Ruggables are so great when you have kids! You know there will be spills and you don't have to stress over it, just toss the top in the washer! It's easy to put down and I could do it by myself but I do think it's easier if you have two people. This particular pattern and color is perfect with my navy living room furniture.

Assembly Required
The media could not be loaded. ย This is the first time I've had a rug that requires assembly! It comes with the top rug and a bottom part that sticks to the rug. I assume this is so you can remove the top rug to wash it. If I'm being realistic, I will never wash this rug, because it was a major pain to attach the two pieces and I don't wanna have to do that ever again. It makes crunching noises when you walk on it, I assume that will stop once the pieces become firmly attached. The distressed look was overdone in my opinion, but I realize a lot of people like that look, so I didn't remove any stars for that. But it just looks like the roller ran out of dye to me. Not a look I'm a fan of.The rug is very lightweight, so I had to attach rug stoppers on the bottom to keep it from moving around. It is a nice long rug with a decent design, just know there is some work involved in keeping it in place and keeping it clean.

Ruggables are the best
We've had a smaller Ruggable in our home for over a year now. It's been peed on several times (puppy and toddler) and it's been washed several times and it looks brand new (with the exception of some wear on the edges from pet nails and heavy toy car traffic). These rugs are extremely light and easy to wash and while you won't get a super high plush feel from them, they are amazing for homes with pets and kids. I do find that I have to vacuum the back of the pad from time to time to deal with dust that can accumulate. The Kira Rug is super pretty in person, the bulk of this rug comes from the pad, and I was worried it wouldn't fit in my top loading washing machine, but per their website it should fit just fine. The blue and navy are shades that work with a wide variety of colors schemes. I like the lower profile rugs for higher traffic areas. They're a little more expensive, but you get the ability to throw the entire rug in the wash which is well worth it, especially with kids and pets. Throwing a rug in the washing machine is so much easier than dragging out the steam cleaner.I also love that the lower profile is less of a trip hazard. Are we a family that trips over our own feet? Yes. So if you are a well coordinated family, perhaps this won't be as big of a selling feature. My dog sprained her ankle jumping off a bed once so even our pets are disasters. Basically, if you have kids, pets, are a hot mess, spill stuff, or generally just need a livable rug, this is the right rug for you.

Name Brand Quality
This is the second large "washable" rug I have. The other is from some no name brand and came without the requisite padding to keep it firmly in place. Ruggable brand provides a pad that's textured on one side that clings firmly to the rug and non-slip rubber on the back to stay in place on the floor. Because the rug is very thin and lightweight, using it with the pad is non-negotiable. The rug itself is very attractive. The "Delft" blue pattern is slightly faded to give it an antique/vintage vibe. It's very easy to spot clean, too. My only caveat - this is a large rug (8 x 10) and even though I have a high capacity washing machine, it's way too big to machine wash at home. Once this thing gets wet, the weight of it would definitely destroy the belt on my machine. So if you plan on washing it, I'd suggest going to the laundromat.

Super soft rug!
Out of the box the monster of rug is super soft and lays down smooth on two pads that come with it. I was really surprised at the softness. I haven't tried to wash it yet because I currently live in an apartment and the washer/dryer is just too small, I think. I am moving soon and will have a larger set so I can try it then. It appears to be of very good quality so I am excited to actually have a rug that lasts over a year (2 cats and a husband that never removes his shoes).

A great alternative to the traditional rug
The media could not be loaded. ย I love the ruggable rugs. This particular design is a great option for anyone who hasn't tried this new gen rug with a traditional look and all its practicality. Easy to install and even easier to clean. It could be a hassle to remove all the furnitures for to give the rug a wash, but it's an unbeatable option to have when a need arises. Better yet, the rug doesn't easily get stained in the first place, and it is super easy to spot clean. A perfect rug for high traffic space which needs all the sophistication.

Ruggables for life!
This is my first Ruggable after eye balling them several times at family members' homes. I saw this pattern online and loved it, but when I unrolled it... WOW!!! It is even more gorgeous in person, which I didn't think was possible. It PERFECTLY compliments my blue and white Modern Victorian dining room. It did take some work to get the pad and rug together perfectly, but I've never done anything like that, so it was just a learning curve. I think when I wash it and put it back together, it will be a lot easier now that I know what to expect. When they say allow for a small overhang, you actually have a couple inches in all directions, so it doesn't have to be perfect. I appreciate that margin of forgiveness. I love that I can wash this - it's in my dining room and my last toddler makes messes like no kid I've ever seen before. I no longer have to worry about the rug being ruined by an errant meatball, OR muddy dog paws! I totally appreciate that the washability will also help keep allergens down as the entirety of our house is hard flooring. We will definitely add more Ruggables to our space - the beauty and function is ABSOLUTELY worth every penny!

Bigger the rig, more difficult the assembly
Rug comes in 2 parts. The rug itself and the rubber backing. The backing keeps it in place on your wood floor and the rug basically velcros to it. We got the largest size so it had 2 rubber mats to try and fit the rug to. Luckily, we are currently in the midst renovations and have wall paper practice. You apply the rug to the backing much the same way you apply wall paper to a wallRug is really beautiful and though it is not thick pile, it is still soft.
