Scythe KM08-BK Kaze Master Flat II Fan Control Unit

got this fan controller because had one for two years and the SATA Connector broke from plug it in the sata power plug from my power supply.or I still be use it.this one work good but i put on a SATA Connector to four pin connector for now but i getting a 15 Pin SATA Power Extension Cable 8 Inches for it. the temperature are very accurate .I also made a jumper from my mother board rpm to the fan controller so if my water pump stop working it will beep. I have tested it to make sure it work. it also can handle up to 3 amp fans for water cooling my radiator. It been the best one I use yet The only thing I don't like is the 15 pin connector it should be screw in not be plastics pin holding on the board.

While the product is nice, I received units that were missing parts and broken. The inductor coil on the #3 output was broken off the board, screen was scratched upon receiving and the plastic push tab was missing so you can not push the button for mute. Nice design but bad Quality Control

Easy install. I like that there are no buttons sticking out. They also included extra temperature probes. Had no problem mounting inside a Fractal Design computer case.

Doesnt work properly...

Works great, controls the fans without inducing any pulsing noise and reports the temperatures accurately. The VFD Display is really crisp and clear, looks a lot better than any other fan controller out there as most of them are using LCD displays.Unfortunately the display is also it's weak point, VFD displays will wear out over time becoming less and less bright. Normally it takes a few years but with this one it only takes months. I've bought the first unit about two years ago and the dark blue numbers at the bottom are now no longer visible, the top row, cyane, is still going strong and it's almost as bright as day one. I thought maybe it was a bad batch of phosphorus used for the dark blue so 6 months ago I've bought another unit. It has the same issue and the numbers are now really hard to read after only 6 months. If you are planing to replace this unit every year, or if you only need the top row showing the RPM, buy it, if not stay away, There is clearly a problem with the phosphorus used for the dark blue color

Unit is as described and works as advertized. I docked it one star because the mounting holes don't line up with the drive slot holes. I tried it in three different cases. Fortunately the chassis is made of soft plastic so it is possible to engage the holes by inserting the self tapping screws at an angle without damaging anything.
