Aroma Professional 16 Cup Uncooked Rice Cooker, Silver (ARC-1308SB)

Definitely not the most well constructed product given the price, but I love it and use it nearly everyday. I love to cook but as a "handicapable" person I have trouble doing basic cooking and cleaning. With this I can sautee, simmer, and slow cook with out using multiple pots and pans like I use to. Now I just essentially throw everything in the pot and let it do it's thing.I would give it 5 stars but it's definitely not the most well built product. The pan itself it a cheap aluminum and Teflon pan, but I use silicone utensils and only wash it once it's cool.

bought this at Walmart. Got an E3 error code the first time I used it to make rice.Made 4 cups dry rice and added water to the 4 line as directed (half capacity) and after a bit I opened it to add fish in the steamer basket (as per instructions) and before it was time to add the green beans (again, per instructions), it made a series of beeps, roughly half way through total cooking time, with error code of overheating. This is after some heat released with opening. I don't know if it would have helped sooner had I never opened it, but why is it overheating at all?I unplugged it (as per instructions) to let it cool, but my rice is still in there. Idk if it'll be ok. I took the fish out and I'm steaming that and the veggies in a Tupperware steamer instead. I tried calling customer support at 1-800-276-6286 but they aren't open in weekends so I'll try to finish the rice and check in with the company tomorrow.
