TKO 5-Piece Complete Junior Drum Set - Pink

I have two little girls: ages 4 & 2, we purchased them for Christmas and the girls love them. Perfect starter size for my 4year old and durable enough for my 2year old to jam on also!!! After researching 5 piece drum sets, endlessly comparing prices and colors I'm extremely pleased with our decision for these.

Great communication with this vender. Shipment arrived quickly, undamaged, with all parts and documentation included. Good quality and finish that should keep my daughter happier for years to come. Great starter set to see if she will continue to play and later invest in a larger set.

Assembly was a little tough. The instructions weren't terribly clear and I am not at all versed in drums or drum sets. After assembly it works nicely. My 5 year old loves it. Good solid construction.

I bought this drum set for my daughter's 10th birthday, realizing that it would be on the small side for her. But she's not serious about drumming, and we don't have a basement to put it in, so I didn't want to devote a whole lot of money or space to it.Her drum set arrived in almost perfect condition. One of the bass drum rims was bent slightly out-of-round, but I was able to bend it back by applying quite a bit of force (it's very sturdy) and assemble it without any problem. My only other complaint is that the bass drum pedal was squeaky, but a few drops of oil took care of that. I was happy to see that the TKO logo on the bass drum is not as oversized as it appears in the picture online.This drum set is very solid and looks and sounds great. As expected, it's not an ideal height for my 55" 10-year-old, but really only the throne needed to be upgraded. The drums and cymbals are at a decent height for her. I bought a cheap adult-sized throne, and now I think the set will last us indefinitely.I also tried out the De Rosa "extra height" drum set, advertised for children up to 11 years old and 5' tall. The De Rosa set is fairly comparable in quality to the TKO set, but my husband (who played drums in a high school band, for what that's worth) and I both think the TKO drums sound better. The De Rosa set has a slight edge only in the sound of the hi-hat cymbal. We chose the TKO set over the De Rosa.What really surprised me is that the De Rosa "extra height" set is no larger overall than the TKO set. In fact, the De Rosa throne extends only to about 14" tall, vs 15" for the TKO. Neither one is high enough for a child over 8. However, the De Rosa throne has a larger diameter seat and feels more stable.A previous reviewer complained that the TKO bass drum and hi hat pedals are cheaply made, but ours are sturdy metal and I can't imagine them bending or breaking under normal use. The same reviewer also complained about his snare drum not sounding like a snare, but our snare adjusts easily with a knob and sounds like it should.
