Musical Fidelity, Phono preamplifier V90-LPS, Black

I first ordered this from Amazon vendor "Express Music Instruments". My order never came (horrible shipping service by this vendor). After lengthy phone conversation with Amazon customer service I got refund. A few days later I saw my local Hi-Fi store offering the same product for even better price (and no shipping) so I bought it from them.Initial buying experience aside, my review is on this phono preamp. Simply put, it's a match made in heaven between my Pro-ject RPM1 Carbon (with Nagaoka MP200 cartridge )and Musical Fidelity A3 integrated amplifier. The first thing I notice is wonderful 3D sound stage, more weighted mid and lower frequency, AND that sweet height coming out of my B&W CDM 1NT speaker. Compare to the previous phono preamp (ART DJ Pre II), V90-LPS simply sound more analog, silky smooth, more dimensional. I can't wait to hear once I have the upgraded power supply.

I bought this to see if there would be an improvement over the phono stage in an Adcom GTP-400.....night And day. Wider sound stage, deeper bass, more details than before. I ended up with. GFP-565, this has one of the best rated built in phono stages anywhere near it's price range. While still a significant improvement over the GTP-400, the 565 is still not as good as the V90-lps. I couldn't be happier with the performance, and price. I know there are better phono stages out there, but they are out of my price range. I highly recommend this unit, it will make you fall in love with your record collection all over again.

Was looking for a nice phono pre-amp to pair with my recently purchased Project Debut Carbon turntable. Very pleased with the quality. Output is very clean with no hum or coloring of the music as far as I can tell. Purchased this and the turntable from Audio Advisor, a vendor I highly recommend. Came well packaged with lots of bubble/padding which I appreciated.

Definitely brighter and more punchy than my vacuum tube preamp. Better for newer music and EDM, but I prefer my tubes for classic rock and blues.This is obviously of good quality - The flaw would be that it "pops" through the amp/speakers when it is turned on and off.

This was a no-brainer when it was $200. You can probably do better at its current price point.

Clear sound, no hum and easy to connect. It has lived up to its reputation!

I am very pleased with the audio quality. It is small and reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.

Tried 5 phono preamps from $30-$1000+and this one was the best. Not even a contest. Project tube box was a joke, vintage Conrad Johnson tube preamp, vintage pioneer reciever with phono stage, NAD preamp and finally settled on this one. Technics SL-1300, Ortofon red, Klipsch Forte II, and it sounds stunning!

Superbe pré ampli phono, l'amélioration sonore à l'écoute des vinyles est parfaite, au point d'en oublier d'allumer mon caisson de grave sur ma hi-fi... Beaucoup de relief en medium, aigus légèrement diminués, graves amplifiés, rien à redire. J' hésitais avec un appareil plus petit, moins cher, de peur que ça ne change rien par rapport à ma platine Audio Technica qui est déjà pré-amplifiée ! Aucun regret donc avec cet achat, je conseille.

Can't quite believe just how good this preamp is, it's transformed by vinyl listening experience. I was using the phono input on my Marantz PM66SE KI Signature amp, this preamp is on a completely different level. I have just conducted a listening test with this against a Rega phono mini, this blows it away, astonishing!

Przedwzmacniacz rewelacyjny, zasilacz tandeta. Nie wiem jak ocenić całośc. Dźwięk jest przestrzenny i dynamiczny. Zasilacz potrafi dodawać coś od siebie (wymieniłęm -3 urząadzenia). Może trzeba dokupić dodatkowy, porządny zasilacz 1V ale to już powoduje wzrost ceny przedwzmacniacza.

Made my 1976 marantz 2250b come to life...in amazing fashion. This thing is very musical right out of the box..love it.
