I was pleased that the unit is quickly removed from the mounting plate, since I mounted it outside and must remove it after each use to avoid it getting rained on.

This item is absolutely a wonderful addition to our fifth wheel.

Put this unit up to try and keep flies out of the house when kids go in and out the doors all day. The fly population has dramatically decreased. Also provides a barrier between the hot outside air and cool inside air (or vice versa during the winter).One thing to note is that this unit does not come with a magnetic door sensor, so you have to manually turn it on or off. There is a remote control or buttons on the unit for this.My one complaint so far is that the power cord is too short. It's somewhere around 4-5 ft long, but anyone putting this above a residential door it's going to be at 7ft high with normal outlets about a foot off the floor. Do the math, the cord is going to be (at least) 1-2 ft short of being able to hit an outlet (assuming it's anywhere close to the doorway). So, you'll either have to plan for this and have an outlet installed up high specifically for this purpose, use an extension cord, or wire your own longer cord.

The curtain works fine, but, it doesn't have the capability of being switched by a door switch.
