Easy set up and works great.
I'm old school and like the battery option over charging. Unit is easy to read and change settings. This was recommended by a friend as an entry-level computer. It does everything I need.

Cheap and high quality
It took some time to install this replacement for my earlier Specialized speedometer -- I like working out how to put things together -- and when I finished, I have discovered this Catseye unit is even better than the one it replaces. I'd had the Specialized for about 10 years and when the screen showed only a few lines I knew I had to buy a new one. One difference: when you stop riding for about half an hour it goes into sleeper mode. You must remember to click out of that mode or it won't track your trip. The directions are spare: while riding I noticed a black dot on the screen the paperwork hadn't mentioned. Turns out it's like the average trip speed, with an upward arrow if you're exceeding your trip average and a downward one if your moving more slowly than the average speed. Cool

Important Issue - Does not work with our electric bike
This is a fine product, but we had a strange experience. I installed it on my wife's electric bike. I would test it and it worked fine. She would use it and say it didn't work. I'd check it on the trail, and sure enough, it wasn't registering any speed. We finally figured out the problem. As soon as she turned on her electric bike, it stopped working. I tried several mounting positions, but as soon as you switched on the power to the electric bike control on the handlebars, it stopped working. Clearly some kind of electrical interference with the signal. Unfortunately, we didn't figure it out it time to return it because of the winter non-riding season.

Love most everything about this bicycle computer but.....
Cat eye is definitely the 'go to brand'. I bought it because it is cat eye, but one thing I found out is the computer goes to a 'sleep' mode when the bike is not in use. When I start bicycling, I need to remember to 'start' the computer and get it out of sleep mode. My old computer (non-cat eye) didn't do this - as soon as the tire started moving, the computer woke up on it's own. Other than that, it seems to be working great.

Does NOT work with Bluetooth nearby
The computer works fine as long as there are no Bluetooth connected devices nearby. I would go on long rides (50 miles roundtrip) and the computer worked for the first 25 miles but would only work intermittently on the last 25 miles. I put new batteries in both the sensor and computer to see if it was a bad battery and it happened again the second time. I couldn't figure it out until I realized that the only difference between the first 25 miles and the second was that I had my phone attached to a Bluetooth speaker on the last 25 miles both times. I then tested it (doing loops in a parking lot) and sure enough when I had the Bluetooth speaker on, the computer would only register the speed accurately every so often but with the speaker off, it worked all the time. So if you plan on using a Bluetooth speaker, I recommend avoiding wireless computers. THIS SHOULD BE NOTED IN THE MANUAL OR SOMETHING.

fairly simple to setup
mechanically, this was fairly simple to install. It might have been good to have included extra tie wraps as they are one time use items. The setup process has a slightly cryptic aspect. There are a lot of places where the "mode" button distinguishes between a quick press and a two second press. The included instruction sheet shows this in very small print. It took a while to note this difference.

simple to set up compaired to last ones
set up took minutes not an hour like my last 2 ......seems to work fine so far......only have used it 7 times. good thing .....it is harder to remove so it won't fall off like my last one.....if it lasts a full year I would give the 5th star

Buenísimo
Quería un velocímetro inalámbrico que funcionara bien, en México sólo había comprado Mérida y no marcaban bien distancia o velocidad.
