AquaYouth 2.0 Carbon Shower Filter Replacement Cartridge

This shower filter definitely works. We have well water and I have naturally grey hair. This really helps keep the brassiness from building up. I highly recommend.

I like this shower filter. It was easy to install, and it works. I know it works because hard water and iron stains are a thing of the past in my shower. I also installed a new shower head when I installed this filter. Previous shower heads would quickly build up lime scale. This filter has also prevented that from happening. My showers literally feel more refreshing, and my water cleans my skin better (almost like softened water). As an added benefit, my hair feels softer. Anyway, I have municipal water with zero water filters or water softeners in my house. I live alone, but I typically shower twice a day. I use my filter with a 1.5 gpm shower head with no noticeable drop in flow. My filter has lasted a few months and still looks and performs like new. Edit: I live alone, but I typically shower twice a day as I like to workout in the afternoon. My original filter that I installed in the July/August timeframe is still going strong through the middle of December. I very pleased so far. Edit 2: I am still happy with this filter. I just changed my first filter out. I got about 7 months use out of it. Also, my filter still had more life, but I would rather change it out a touch too soon than too late. I partially dissected my old filter. I cut the back cap off of it. It was solid activated charcoal except for about 1/2" piece running through the middle of the filter. I can vouch that the filter is made of high quality materials. I also have a few recommendations. I would use as low flow of a showerhead as you can tolerate. I found a very cheap ($15) 1.5 gpm showerhead that works very good. It puts out water in a pattern that actually cleans well, and it was an adjustable pattern. The low flow showerhead will slightly slow the water through the filter which should allow the filter to work a little better. Also, you will prolong the life of your filter. The low flow showerhead I bought is a Zurn 1.5 gpm model in case anyone was wondering.

Good product

I have purchased many shower and tub water filters since our water is terrible. While nothing aside from investing in a kicked up whole house filtration will completely remedy it, these actually work surprisingly well! It truly helps with the mega amounts of chlorine that is added to our water and definitely helps with iron sediment somehow. I like that it is one of the only shower filters that removes some copper. (also high in our water) The only thing is that we need to replace them frequently due to our water quality, but I’m fine with that as our showering is more enjoyable and a bit healthier now. I haven’t had any of the leak issues that are stated in other reviews. We have 2 installed both bathrooms no problems.

Doesn’t seem to work as well as our last one, but by far it exceeds the quality of the tapwater. Super easy to put a new filter in as well.
