A bit different than the other Save the Cat writing books in that it attempts to tame some of the most notoriously un-plottable indie films and shows that, underneath it all, most of the successful ones -do- fit a basic STC plot structure. This is useful because Hollywood is notorious for churning out the SAME ... OLD ... FILM ... or declaring successful indie films were a fluke. This is a good bridge-book between 'THE FORMULA' and the wild, wild west of indie film making.

Save the Cat series is hands down, The Best books one can buy on screenwriting! Nothing more to be said.

A terrific and helpful book. Salva Rubio breaks down 50 films, many with complex narratives, and carefully shows how they work within the easy-to-understand parameters of the Blake Snyder beat sheet. Cannot recommend this book enough.

Como los anteriores puede ser medio confuso y somero pero es bastante bueno para entender los beats y consultarlos cuando te andas peleando con un guión o novela y sientes que vas perdiendo. Ojo: no es un libro de iniciación en escritura, es muy útil si ya utilizas Save the cat y hay cosas que nomás no te pueden quedar claras. Trae más ejemplos y algunos te quedan clarísimos.
