Good clean ocean water

These boxes often come loose but as long as it doesn’t leak this water is great for first time saltwater aquarists!

Had a issue with first order it arrived with real bad damage. Petco was quick to ship out another replacement no questions asked. I went to petco to get some of the same water and its a great product. much better than using RODI water less work and time and better for the fish.

First off I have used nutra seawater for a couple of years and it has always been good for my fish and help keep the tank properly cycled. After reading the reviews on this one I decided to give it a go. I have now ordered 4 of these. The only problem is the box that it comes in. It is about half the thickness of the nutra seawater box and this combined with the use of a bag versus a jug inside, makes for a disastrous shipping condition. All four boxes were absolutely blow apart. It has taken me about $3.00 in box tape and 30 minutes to put the box back together so that it is manageable again. The dispensing is about as easy as nutra seawater so no difference there. I can't tell any difference in the quality of the water. Phosphates, nitrites and nitrates are within parameters. PH has been a little low but nothing that sever. All in all it's a good product and a great price, Just too bothersome for me. I would rather spend the extra $11.00 and not have to deal with destroyed packages.

I have seahorses. They require pristine water conditions. However, in my area, I do not have access to a local fish store or a reliable source of water. So, this product is essential for my seahorses, and works great. I wish there was a subscribe and save option. I really like the idea of the water being as natural and safe as possible. The convenience of not having to mix salt is a plus too. I took a nozzle and siliconed it to one of the box caps so I have a way to turn the water on and off. I just save this and reuse it. Otherwise, the plastic bag can be a little awkward. This same water is available at PetCo if you can't find it here.

Shipping box was broken open and internal box was damaged. Had to have assistance to retape the box shut in order to protect the inner bag holding the water. Have purchased before and will purchase again but will go directly to the pet store.

when one says it was dropped shipped it was. The outer box is a mess but no leakage. I know that the inner box will say do not stack but the outer one didn't and the delivery person did. I use this all the time as I have no patience to make my own salt water.

Quality product great if you are worried about pollutants or contaminants like algae spores or water borne parasites that can travel in real unfiltered ocean water and easier and more natural than mixing up your own salt and DI water n heating it up to acheive the final product, not a cost effective solution long term but great to have on hand for occasional quick water changes on tanks under 100 gallons shipping cost and cost in general verses buying a box of salt a seperate aquarium heater and a DI water filtration system and a plastic garbage can to mix up and heat up your di water nsalt mix is the most cost effective solution and mixing in some beneficial marine bacteria is my routine maintenance recipe.
