I purchased this stihl starter assembly and it was a Chinese poor quality copy and the exhaust part would not fit it. I purchase another one from a stihl dealer and it was much better quality and the exhaust extension fit perfect. Sorry I had to buy two!!!!

Fit was not a simple bolt on. Had to modify and remove some plastic to make it fit.

Part fits but only worked for just FOUR STRAIGHT STARTS

Part broke already... Cheap plastic. The plastic gear inserts that drive the crankshaft broke yesterday. Weedeater cranks but not with this part. Socket on a drill to crank the piston over to fire.

Worthless product! Only used it 4 times and it broke. Unfortunately I was TDY for a month, so I am unable to return it with in its short warranty window. Don’t waste your money.

Product was satisfactory. It did not have the product decal or the black plastic part where the blower goes.
