nuLOOM Lorretta Hand Loomed Area Rug, 4' x 6', Grey

What I like most about this rug is the fact that it’s thin and soft enough to wash in one of the large machines at any laundromat. I fold it into thirds then roll it and put it in the machine. I use 1/2 inch thick 2x2 floor foams as padding underneath and this rug feels wonderful on bare feet. So soft to the touch and with the foams underneath sooo comfortable. It sweeps up nicely and I’ve had no problems with loose threading when vacuuming. It’s low maintenance and I just love that I can take it to the laundromat and make it like new again. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

This is a great looking rug! Super soft! I'm really happy with it. I was worried the pattern would be too small but it's just right! I'm a little concerned about longevity because it doesn't have a backing so it feels like it might stretch easily. A rug pad is also a must. I have concrete floors and it seems like it's going to be sliding. Overall, I'm very pleased! I just received this in the mail 15 min ago. So I'll post back if I run into any issues down the line!Update: It does stretch. I would use this rug in a low traffic area - like a dining room that you only use a few times a year or a personal office. The light color became dirty and I have no idea how I'm going to clean it. The best I've been able to do is vacuum it with our hard floor attachment but even that doesn't really work well and causes stretching. I also wouldn't recommend this rug if you have pets. It snags easily from my dogs claws.

Just needed a new rug that I wouldn't mind getting some dirt on. It is exactly what I expected for the price... Lightweight, thin, slides around, visible ripples. I bought Ruggies for the corners of the rug and those work well. I don't have any problems with the rug shedding or my dog's nails getting stuck. I have a golden retriever puppy and his paws do just fine. I saw where someone mentioned in the comments about it being machine washable. I figured it would be since it's 100% cotton. I am definitely going to try that. Also, can be flipped over if gets too dirty on one side. Exactly what I was expecting!

It is a beautiful rug. Here are my issues:1. The chi square pattern is gorgeous, but in person on my livingroom floor it was very dizzy. Hard to look at. I returned it for this reason alone.2. Hand woven rugs in general are difficult to clean. A 10x14 handwoven rug is just daunting.If the pattern doesn’t make you dizzy in person, and you live a life with little to no dirt (ie., no dogs or kids) , then this rug could be perfect. It has a beautiful soft feel under your feet. Well-made.

I like the look of this rug. It's soft and the patterning is nice and subtle. However, I have a dog and I can already tell that this rug is not going to last for years to come. It pulls quite easily, So I have had to go through a trim damaged areas. It also does not disguise or resists stains well. I'm giving it four stars because I think my judgement was off with what would be functional in my own home, but for someone whose home stays clean and tidy all the time, I think it would function fine.

I show three photos of this diamond patterned throw rug;1) the 5 by 8 two side-by-side under the dining room table,2) older previous mat aside by side with the new diamond pattern mat 3) as bathroom mat over a smart step thick cushioned mat. This new Diamond pattern rug still snags with cat claws but it’s more confined (see photos); it can be trimmed whereas the older one had clusters of yarn flat that could not be trimmed without ruining the connection to the reminder of the rug (see older Mat photo). The design on this rug the diamond pattern is better for those snags. I have snags on all of my rugs this cotton diamond pattern seems to do better than most others I’ve tried, and it’s washable. My wool ones I have to take out to the driveway to scrub and allow it to dry. This one is thin like a bath shower mat so it is easier to throw in the washer. I bought 2 instead of a large one size so I can more easily machine wash them, and I’ve already washed one of the 5 by 8 in my front loader home washing machine (some hair ball puke came out in wash). Length shrunk about 4”, width shrunk a bit less. I found the 8’ by 10’ was difficult to transport to the laundromat or out of the washer (wet it’s heavy). Obviously that center line shown in the photo under the dining table doesn’t completely lay flat even with it taped down. (I’m also trying an under rug anti-slip mat option for a similar style rug elsewhere, with masking tape to hold the pad to the rug). I have a smaller version of this pattern which I have washed and it’s wonderful in the bathroom over a smart step cushioned mat (photo in bathroom). In the bathroom the thin rug fits perfectly under the open door and over the cushioned mat. The pattern on this design is light in color (taupe and cream) and subtle enough to not overwhelm the decor. The taupe is a gray brown. It’s not as soft as the older previous plain mat (shown in the side by side photo with the older beige plain Mat). I had the older rug, same manufacturers about two years. For the price, these rugs aren’t so bad to pitch and replace.

—————UPDATE JULY 9, 2020——————-Rug is still going strong, I’ve had it for a few months now. I did spray it with non-aerosol stain protector and there are no prints from shoes or anything that show. I do get a few loose stitches on it from my cat, but only a few, so far it is pet friendly (as long as your pet doesn’t like to scratch things). The rug has stretched quite a bit though I will say.———————————Great size, had no wrinkles upon unrolling. It’s a busy pattern but not too busy that it is distracting. It’s a thin rug but I like that! Soft on your feet as well. I sprayed fabric protector on it to prolong its cleanliness and it’s working well so far.

Love the look of this rug. My best information for this rug would be that it can be washed in an oversized machine. However, prepare yourself for shrinkage. I ordered the 6x9 and after washing, no dryer, and a little pulling, my rug is now 9x5 1/2. A good rug pad is essential as this rug is very thin.

I truly love the look of this rug and the fact that is cotton 100% as I am trying to eliminate all synthetics from my house hold, specially rugs because they have VOC-s and formaldehyde, but i find it's bot a carpet that will resist intact for long. I don't have animals, but I just vacuum with my dyson V11 absolute and It's already coming apart. I mean, I'll see when I'll put it in the washer. I will not return it because it looks great in my livingroom, but God this is such a flimsy carpet for 150$.Oh well, I've lost more money in other ways so I guess this is not bad.

I love the look and feel of this rug. I used it with a thick under-pad and it is perfect. Because the carpet is made from cotton it does stretch, so an under-pad is an absolute must. I purchased the taupe colour but I would have called it beige/tan. Because of the weave of the carpet I will not be vacuum with the beater-bar attachment because I believe this will damage the large loops over time and possibly pull out threads.

J'aime beaucoup ce tapis, le tissus est souple, la couleur est parfaite et le motif est vraiment beau. Par contre, il a tendance à faire des mailles avec les griffes des chiens.

This rug is beautiful colour and look wise , but I can’t use a vacuum on it at all because it’s so light weight it would just suck into the vacuum . So so soft though ! I have purchased it for my dining room under the dining room table... would probably purchase product again if I had too !

This is great carpet. Since it’s cotton I put it in the washer and dryer, it shrunk a tiny bit but now actually fits better at my front door. Perfect for dirty shoes and my dog since I can wash it. And very reasonably priced.
