Cross Ion Liquid Saffron-Green Rolling Ball Pen with Black Gel Ink and Complimentary Key Chain Clip

Don't waste your time or money. I am dumbfounded that they believe they can get $49 for this pen. I purchased mine from office depot for around $7.I will say that I was drawn to the gimmicky nature of the pen. The pen slides open to a length that allows your hand to hold it like a normal pen. It wrote well and I did enjoy having a pen on my keys so that it was there anytime I needed one. It was only convenient for as long as the key chain clip worked. It was only a matter of time before the clip failed and the pen was falling off on a regular basis. Even though the pen no longer attached to my keys the pen still functioned and the way the point retracts you can carry it in your pocket without worrying about getting ink everywhere.A short period of time later the mechanism that allows it to open and retract failed so that even if you slid it open the point would not come out. At that point it was time to send it to ink pen heaven.It lasted less than a year and at $7 I am not heart broken. I took a chance on a gimmick and it failed. If I had taken a chance on this pen at $49 I would be ready to use another pen to write a nasty letter to the maker.It was a shame because I went into the purchase knowing that Cross is a quality manufacturer. I have their pen and pencil sets that have lasted well over 20 years.
