Wish I had purchased these years ago
I love these covers! Due to so many negative reviews I was concerned about buying these but also reading so many positive reviews and seeing the photos I decided to see for myself if these covers would be a good or bad choice for me. I must say it helps that my furniture is the same shape as the advertised photos, so that was a big plus for me in deciding. I found the fabric to be very substantial, made well, mine did not have any weak seams or holes as some showed in their photos. The gray is very dark, and unfortunately my love seat cover received was more blue-hued than the sofa and chair covers received. I contacted Subrtex by email and had a response from them within minutes - not kidding - explained the color difference in my email to them and they are sending a replacement cover, no questions asked. That is amazing customer service and for that alone I am impressed. I decided to put all 3 covers on last night, it was so easy to do by myself (I have previous experience with much tougher covers in twill-no stretch - it was like a workout by the time I was done pulling, tugging, tucking and buckling D-rings) These were a breeze putting on. So easy to line up the seams once you find the red brand tag on the back goes at the bottom right corner on the back of the furniture. And no sore fingers! My previous covers were off-white and it was time for something that my 2 recently acquired dogs wouldn't stain and ruin. The material is very soft and comfortable to sit on, and seem they will be very durable (time will tell) They fit my furniture like a glove, I am very pleased with how they turned out. I'm considering ordering the Sand color also for a change out. I liked both colors and was very undecided whether to get the Gray or Sand to stay with a neutral decor. Will post photos soon and update my review. I want to thank all who posted photos, it helps so much before purchasing : )UPDATE: I still love these covers, they rarely need adjusted, maybe the cushion cover needing pulled in the front but not an issue. I am however having an issue with small holes appearing in the seat cushions of the sofa which I have stitched with a needle and thread to keep from getting worse, and I am blaming my overly energetic pointer puppy with very sharp claws for that. For anyone purchasing these who have a puppy this info may help. My sheepdog sleeps on the loveseat cover and her claws have not torn any holes in the fabric.

I love this room now!
I had a couch and chair that I really liked, but they were stained and faded. The structure was great, but over the years, the cats had ripped the arms to shreds, and stuff got spilled...it was pretty tacky, and I was too embarrassed to put them out on the street! So one day while cruising Amazon. I ran across these slipcovers. I went back and forth on a solid or a print. But, because of all the pillows that I have, a print wouldn't work. So solid it was. Then I went back and forth on the size. Since the arms were so overstuffed, would the regular chair and sofa sizes fit or should I go the extra size. I read where it was really stretchy, so I took a chance on the regular sizes. Then, I went back and forth on the color - can I trust the teal or should I go with the tan? I again threw caution to the wind and got the teal. They arrived promptly and in excellent packaging - can definitely reuse those babies! I tackled the chair first, and I have to admit it took me awhile to figure it out, even with the video and detailed instructions. But once I got the concept, it went pretty smoothly. I had to really tug to get the cover situated over the big stuffed arms, but the fabric doesn't looked like it is strained. BUT. The inside back of my chair does not have a cushion - the pillow is the cushion, so the back of the chair doesn't fit very well - lots of loose hanging material - but it is against the wall, so it doesn't matter. An appropriate cushion in the back would have been the perfect solution. The same with the couch. The front looks great, fits really snugly and doesn't look pulled. The seat cushions went on fairly easily, and stay in place great. The elastic on these is excellent! The teal color, as it turns out, worked great with the pillows. The fabric is very soft. It does seem to attract lint and (I assume) cat hair and stuff, but I'll just have to keep a lint brush handy. It took me a couple of hours to put these covers on, but I'll bet most people can get it done in half the time. All in all, I love this product, and highly recommend it to change the room!

If You Have L-Shaped Cushions...
The two-piece cover may not work for you.My sofa is on the larger side, but is still 6+ inches shorter than the recommended maximum length of 92" for this product. The bottom portion fit fine - it could probably go another foot if needed. Definitely not a tailored look, but a vast improvement over my inexplicably peeling newer, mid-grade pleather couch. The fabric is as stretchy as they claim, it feels soft and is comfortable to sit upon, the color is nice (Coffee), and the pattern fits passably into my decor. In theory, this is a good alternative until I decide if I want to reupholster or replace. However, there is one problem that makes this pretty unusable for me, and since I'm not one to go through the hassle of repacking and returning less expensive items, I'm just left pretty disappointed. The issue is that the second piece, meant to cover the cushions, is simply too small. Mostly, it is too short. I think it's because I have L-shaped cushions. You'll note that the product photo on display has plain, square cushions. Which I did see when I ordered, but because I couldn't find any mention of which type of cushions this is (or is not) compatible with, nor could I find another listing for L-cushioned sofas, I assumed this item would work for me. But it doesn't. In fact, even if I cut my cushions into squares, I don't think this would cover the depth of the cushions either - the front hangs out.So, if your couch is on the smaller side and/or you have squared cushions that aren't very deep, I can fully recommend this as a reasonably attractive, affordable option to extend the life of your sofa.
