🛏️ Elevate your sleep game—comfort and recovery, redefined.
The Mattress Genie Adjustable Bed Twin Size is an inflatable wedge that converts any existing mattress into a fully adjustable bed with a 0-45° incline. Designed to alleviate acid reflux, GERD, snoring, and aid post-surgery recovery, it inflates in under a minute via a handheld remote. Portable and compact, it doubles as a leg wedge and sitting support, offering a cost-effective alternative to hospital beds without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

Works well to raise mattress
I purchased the twin size genie to use for an elderly relative that at times needs to be fed or take medicine in a twin bed. It raises up quickly and holds in the position of our choice. When using it at bedtime it stays inflated for the majority if not the entire night. The height can be adjusted quickly and there is a button to just have the air completely released quickly if one wishes to sit on the raised portion of the bed. I use it with a 10/12 inch mattress and it works well. It would be nice for just reading or watching TV in bed or gerd issues.

Excellent Idea for those who are caring for loved ones at home with a budget
Purchased for my father in the final months of his life. It was one of the few ways we could comfortably prop him up to eat & drink. No arms around his back or trying to gently hold on to each other's arms. It only received a couple months of use, but ended up being a Godsend.

NOT FOR USE UNDER PILLOW
Said in the description you could use it under a pillow. I ordered a twin and we have a king mattress. Only using it for me, my husband did not need or want it. Tried it once and was the worst sleep I have had. It is too stiff for under a pillow. Other then that it works fine.

Works for handicapped grandson
This was purchased for a grandson who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This works great when they travel to raise his upper body up while in bed. He can get himself higher or lower with this as needed. It is small enough that it packs well. Just what they needed.

Leaks after a couple of days of use.
It started leaking and deflating after just a couple of days of use.Poor build quality.

It does not deflate as easily as you might desire
This is essentially a giant, very durable, inflatable bolster blown up by a vacuum pump. It does not deflate as easily as you might desire, so we found ourselves having to crush it back to baseline, bodily, each time we used it to raise our patient. She could not bring it down by herself. It is very noisy even on carpet (just like an ordinary vacuum). It could save a lifting care-giver's back from an awkward and injurious patient lift--and so could a hospital bed, so we opted for the latter.

3 yrs in, still good and recommended
I bought this in April 2017 in twin size. It's been sitting inflated in one position for most of that time, in use under a day bed mattress used for napping as I have severe gerd.More recently due to illness it has been used more often being inflated and deflated to different heights.I've had absolutely no problem with it losing air.I will mention I've been very careful to protect the blow up portion where it sits against the wire metal bed frame.I put a piece of cardboard under it and a piece of rug non-slip rubbery mesh on top of the cardboard and under the genie.I guess my one piece of advice otherwise would be that it does make quite a bit of noise inflating so adjusting it during the night if you have a bed partner might become an issue. It essentially sounds like a vacuum. It's only for a few seconds but it could wake a sensitive partner. So just bear in mind you'll want to adjust it up as high as you want before you go to sleep.Adjusting it down is very quiet it just releases the air.Considering the price of the automatic adjustable beds if you're looking for something less expensive and actually even portable (I took it with me on vacation by car and used it in a hotel room) then this is a good purchase.

leaked & deflated first night I used it
I inflated the mattress genie and checked that the tubing was secure on both ends. The night started off well but the inflatable balloon (or "bladder" as they call it) had significantly deflated by morning and was entirely deflated a few hours later. If it didn't leak this would be a fine product -- more comfortable than a wedge. I'll return but not sure if it's worth replacing for another try. I wonder if it had been previously returned and repackaged by Amazon.Update: Well, I exchanged but the second product also leaked during the night - one to four inches, so not as much -- but I returned that as well. I now think a basic wedge under the mattress would work better, although not adjustable. The air bladder may not leak in the factory, but putting it under a heavy mattress and rolling around on it all night and you deflate at least somewhat. My bed has thin metal slats under the mattress, so maybe putting it on a flat box spring or wood platform wouldn't be such an issue. Also, if you don't mind reflating before using each night and realizing it will go down somewhat, this might still be of value to you.
