Nutramax Dasuquin MSM Joint Supplement, Sm/Med Dogs, Chew Tablets, 84ct

I have two senior dogs and I give it to both. They have gone from having trouble standing and walking. After taking these for as month they are RUNNING around the yard, pumping on the couch and going up and down the staairs. I would HIGHLY recommend these for ANY DOG WHO IS HAVING MOBILITY TROUBLE, ot takes about a month before you see results. They are very affordable since after the initial period you only give them half a pill.

Long detailed review because I know how important our pups are to us! Strongly recommend this vitamin!! Background: my dog is 5 was diagnosed with hip dysplasia in February and takes prescribed anti-inflammatories daily. He’s an ACD and enjoyed being active until issues started. Issues: mild stiffness in both hips & his hip will pop occasionally if he twists/turns too quickly. Sleeping a lot and reluctant to go outside and completely uninterested in playing fetch. He normally asks to go outside but stopped completely when issues started, even when taking the anti-inflammatories. Not sure if it was just pain or maybe a little depression but instead of laying/napping on couch with me he would hide and nap in his quiet den spot in bedroom alone. Results only weeks after starting this vitamin: he’s sleeping less and wants to go outside and walk and play fetch again. After one week he started ringing his bells on doorknob to ask to go outside and go for walk. Today, now several weeks on vitamin, he got mad I wasn’t fast enough after the bell ring so he tracked me down and barked at me and pushed me to the door. Last time he was that excited for a walk was almost a year ago. I’ve noticed his movement is much more fluid. I’m still following veterinary directions with frequency/duration of exercise so I can only speak for mild daily activity of 20 minutes walking everyday. I’m also careful with fetch games I make sure he doesn’t have to turn/twist to catch. Side effects: he had gas at first and hates the taste. So I broke it up and mixed it with a little bit of fatty fragrant food like an egg or unsalted salmon. Mayo works too in a pinch I’ll mix his kibble with a little bit and then mix in pill pieces. He doesn’t like peanut butter but I imagine that would be great way for others. This fixed reluctancy to eat & the horrific smelling farts. I made sure I followed directions starting out with smaller dose. He had some runny stools at first but week two they were back to normal. Hope this review helps someone. Wish I would have bought this from the start. It warms my heart to see him happier & enjoying activities again! His general comfort has improved which improved his mood. Pics of him enjoying walks again and clunking out happily on couch after walk & playing fetch. Complete improvement and in less than a month. SO GRATEFUL for this product!

I baulked initially at the cost of this supplement, but after getting an objective lesson on what makes this product superior over other glucosamine products, I opted to purchase it. My dog has arthritis that has set in her leg many years after a bone break. Before starting the supplement, she limped and favored the leg the majority of the time -- seemingly both due to some discomfort and sometimes purely out of habit. I saw a about a 50% decrease in this limping/favoring not long after starting the Dasuquin. I strongly suggest with formula with MSM (as was recommended to me) and to follow the dosing instructions closely (clearly spelled out on the packaging and based on your dog's weight). A higher does is given for a period of time, then a reduced "maintenance" dose is given. It is not a cure, but I feel it offers enough visible relief that it is money well spent.

My Maltipoo was having some hip pain and after a deep dive with Grok, she recommended this product, she’s super picky so I mix it into her food it crushes easily and she licks her food bowl clean so I think she enjoys the taste when it’s mixed with dog food. I have noticed she’s doing a lot better she’s been on it for about 2 months now and no more discomfort I will purchase again.

I have a 6 year old frenchie with a luxating patella. She also has a predisposition to IVDD and I’ve been terrified of her injuring herself. I started giving her these about a year ago and have really seen some improvement in her overall movement. Shes managing to run around like a maniac without knee, hip or spine issues!

My 3 year old Pug/Boston Terrier has luxating patella’s and has had surgery on one knee already. While nothing except surgery can fix the issue of her patella sliding out of position the vet recommended I keep her on a joint supplement all of her life to keep the cartilage in her joints soft and cushiony to make her more comfortable. I cut the tablet in half or smaller pieces and she licks it out my hand. She is just spoiled but she doesn’t like the full tablet and spits it out. Maybe she feels the size is too big to chew it maybe it’s too much flavor at once. She takes it like a treat when I cut down. I firmly believe in the Nutramax products and will try the new Cosequin joint supplement with green lipped mussel and egg shell membrane the next time I place an order. I’ve been reading about of positive things about those ingredients.

This was recommended by our 13 year old dog's surgeon, post-op, for a torn acl. He has been on it for about a year and he is doing great. We di have to mix it into something, he won't eat it alone, but he seems to like it well enough.

THESE ARE NOT CHEWS! They are extremely hard pills and are not suitable for a smaller dog - the package says "chews"! I can't get my dog to eat them even cut up (loose a lot by cutting them up) - he spits them out even when coated with peanut butter.

IT SAYS QUITE CLEARLY IN THIS IS FOR LARGE DOGS! BUT! 2 Bottles arrived today for small dogs. Waste of time and money.

This was not the product size that was in the description. It said it was the " large dog" size tablets. The product that shipped was "small to medium " size dog tablets.
