I bought this item on August 28, 2017. and started using it the following week. Took it to the Philippines and used it on the 28 hour flights via Jet Blue, Asiana Airlines, and Cebu Pacific. No issues in check points, no issues on the plane, no issues at work, and still quiet as can be.Some things you should KNOW:1) The feet may slide off. WATCH them carefully (the rubber things not the plastic components)2) Ya ya ya ya dual usb ports.... lol but ONE MUST be used for the FANS. So you have ONE spare USB port. Still I didn't need it, but it makes it sound like you can use 2 without needing the obvious power from your laptop via usb port or some external power component.3) Do NOT lose the male to male usb cord. They aren't readily available everywhere lol. Best buy a spare one just in case.4) It definitely cools down the computer. I ran multiple 3rd party programs and temp test in bios and it definitely works.5) It says it doesn't power external HDDs... LOL YES IT DOES. Well at least this one it did: Seagate Backup Plus 4TB Portable External Hard Drive USB 3.0, Black (STDR4000100). Now granted.... It's a laptop hdd and not a desktop hdd... However it IS an external hdd none the less.6) I put this thing to the test. I am a gamer, I also am a ripper, and I do coding as well. I ran both Elder Scrolls online and WoW (World of Warcraft) at the same time as GoT 2160p S03E04 episode with an external mouse and hdd while the fans were turning on, my lap didn't get hot like it would but did get kinda luke warm, but thats to be expected when the video card is activated due to gaming and show. Now imagine running ESO for 6 hours, and WoW for 9 hours while watching 12 hours of tv episodes on the airplane while flying over the ocean, and Russia and Korea airspace. Lets just say my passenger seat person was greatly entertained the entire flight. My lap and my boys were truly happy for lack of heat. Thank You Havit 5 Fan Cooling Pad. I will buy another thank you!** if you are over paranoid with the heat as a gamer, this does work with 2600-5000RPM as well.EDIT 1: As of August 9, 2018 - This item still works. There are some instances when I initially turn it on the fans can get loud but then stop almost 5 seconds later. No complaints here. I use this almost daily 3-5 days a week while at work.

First off, I've been using cooling pads for my laptops for close to 15 years. With that said, I've been using this for a few months and this has to be the best cooling pad I've used yet. Cooling pads have come a long way since I first started using them. On this particular cooling pad, you can adjust the fan speed all the way from off to its max speed. There are red LEDs lighting up the fans, which can't be turned off while the fans are on. That is no big deal to me because they match my backlit keyboard beautifully. The fans suck the air from the bottom of the pad and blow the air onto the bottom of the laptop. For convenience, there is an extra USB port to make up for the one the power cable uses on the laptop. This has to be the best USB power cable I've had as it's braided and feels durable/thick. I've broken many plastic/rubber cables over the years, requiring me to fix the cables or even the cooling pads themselves. One quality of life that's been added to this pad that I've never had before is a tab that flips up and holds the laptop onto the pad and keeps it from sliding off. With previous pads, it's been a major pain to keep the laptop from sliding down. The only problem I've had with this pad so far is that the rubber feet on the bottom that cover the screws have come off, which I've had that happen to all the cooling pads I've ever owned. So if you're wondering if this is the cooling pad for you, it's worked wonderfully for me and it keeps my laptop cooled down while gaming and I believe it will do the same for you.

This worked great but after 5 1/2 years it’s making noise and has become way too loud. I did get in and lube up the fans but that hasn’t helped. Off to find a replacement.

My Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Series laptop was emitting a little too much heat and causing a discoloration to the natural wood dining table where I use the computer most. My son suggested a Laptop Cooler - so I decided to purchase one similar to my Grandson's unit which keeps his Super Hot Gaming Computer cool as a cucumber! I received it today from Amazon and am extremely pleased. Well packaged for delivery it came in one day and I am pleased with the quality of workmanship. Using the enclosed USB cable I set it up within seconds and it works incredibly well. The cool air is distributed evenly and, I might add, very quietly. You have to stop and listen to hear the five fans working quietly. I am also impressed that it has an 18-month warranty. I registered the product on line and am very delighted with the HAVIT 5 Fans Laptop Cooling Pad for 14-17 Inch Laptop computers. I give 5 Stars to the HAVIT 5!!!!!

I have an Asus with a bizarre vent system (it vents right at the hinge of the lid?) so I was struggling to find a way to cool my laptop appropriately for games. I don't do anything super graphics intensive, just Sims 4 and the like, but it made my computer run super hot. This cooler does a great job of helping my computer stay cool. It runs so quietly I can barely hear it, and the lights aren't super bright/annoying. I had no problems getting it going and it has really made a difference for my laptop.

Its sleek, light and minimalistic but has a nice red and black aesthetic. I have the Lenovo Legion Y520, which is a 15.6" screen laptop. Its the perfect size for it, so it would probably run a little smaller for 17" laptops.The fans light up red when the cooling pad is switched on, and the good part is that you can click the cooling pad off when you don't need them, to preserve the battery life etc. (i.e: It only lights up when the fan is on, and you can control the fans to help battery if needed). It even has retractable flaps/stands, that in front help prevent the laptop from slipping and on the underside can incline the pad a little off the surface.the make / quality of build is wonderful, and the noise of the fans is barely noticeable, and yet it works highly efficiently as a cooling pad. the connecting wire is also sturdy and detachable, and seems unlikely to fray as it is a woven cable, which i highly appreciate. 10/10 would recommend.

I bought this item in September 2019 for use with my new 17" laptop and it fits really well with space either side. The pop up feet are great as is the pop up front flat so snugly hold the laptop in place.It uses one of your USB ports but has another built into the cooler so you don't lack a USB once connected.I've given the fan a 5* rating because, yes it is quite loud in a quiet room, but....ITS A FAN so it should be loud if its working and this works very well keeping my laptop at least 1 or 2 degrees cooler. You dont hear the fan over the laptops built in cooling but that rarely come son because these fans are doing most of the work.I cant fault this product and I use it every night playing COD MW for around 3 to 4 hrs so its had plenty of use, is still as quite as it was when I bought it and has never failed to work.Got to be one of my best buys ever.

Ho comprato questa ventola per mio fratello e per il suo computer nuovo, in modo da non farlo riscaldare troppo durante sessioni "pesanti".Infatti il nuovo pc ha la scocca in metallo e dalle recensioni online dopo un po' di tempo che se ne fa un uso intensivo tale chassis può cominciare ad essere decisamente caldo. Volevo evitare questa problematica, per cui ho preso questa base e l'ho provato anche con altri computer (il mio, quello del mio coinquilino e della ragazza, la quale ha un computer molto simile a quello che deve arrivare a mio fratello). Spesso la usiamo su di una sedia (visibile in foto) per permettere al pc di essere a fianco della tv e poterci giocare: le temperature, con qualsiasi dei pc usati, erano decisamente inferiori.Come spero si veda dalla foto, questa base ha 5 ventole, un'ottima griglia in metallo per permettere al calore di dissiparsi ulteriormente ed è anche possibile regolare la velocità delle ventole, che nonostante le abbiamo messe sempre al massimo a malapena si sentono.È decisamente più sottile, pratico e portatile della mia base, ma a costo di un sistema di piegamento (per alzare il pc) decisamente più semplificato e limitato: ci sono due piedini dietro, ma non si alza di molto; tuttavia c'è abbastanza spessore per far circolare l'aria lasciandolo anche in piano, quindi direi che è più che sufficiente.Sono contento dell' acquisto, anche per il prezzo pagato.

La utilizo con mi portátil de 17,3 pulgadas y sirve perfectamente aunque se ve claramente que ha sido diseñada pensando en los portátiles de 15 pulgadas ya que el portátil sobresale ligeramente por los laterales de la base de refrigeración. Aun así se puede utilizar perfectamente en uno de 17.3.Con respecto a la comodidad para usar el portátil es verdad que sería mas cómoda si tuviese una especie de reposa muñecas como tienen algunas, pero eso tendría el inconveniente de que la haría mas grande y difícil de transportar.Tiene un regulador de potencia lo cual es muy útil si no quieres ponerla a tope ya que hace bastante ruido a máxima potencia, este detalle me ha gustado mucho, pensé que solo sería ON-OFFLos leds son de color rojo pero no molestan para nada pues no son super potentes. Son bastante discretos.En resumen me parece una muy buena compra para lo que cuesta, aunque obviamente los hay mejores.
