Osprey Exos FTW
This is an amazing backpack. I say that due to the comfort. I have other lightweight or ultralight backpacks such as Mountain Laurel Designs Prophet 48L and the Hyperlite Mountain Gear Waypoint but neither of those backpacks match the comfort of the Osprey Exos. I thru hiked the Appalachian Trail starting with an Exos 48 then switched to the lighter Osprey Levity but although the Levity was a great backpack, it did not match the comfort of the Exos. Having dialed in my gear, I bought this 35L Exos because I didn't need the additional space and weight of a 45L backpack. The 35L Exos is plenty big enough for me to carry 4-5 days of food even without the top brain pouch. Without the top brain pouch, the weight comes in at 38oz. It's a full pound heavier than my Prophet and pretty close to the weight of a UL Hyperlite Mountain Gear Southwest but the comfort and suspension system is worth it and if I need to carry additional weight, this backpack can handle the load whereas my other lighter packs would struggle and my shoulders get very angry at me after about 15 miles. The warranty on the Ospreys is another selling point. After thru hiking the AT, I sent my Osprey Levity back for repairs and the sent me a brand new Levity backpack free of charge.

Osprey UL pack, best quality!
I downsized from my 55L pack to this pack which is a stated 41L. I turned 68 and wish to get my base weight down to 15# for 3 season Alaska backpacking. Lots of elevation and my knees weren't liking 40#. My dog got a new and little larger pack as well. She can cart her own food and gear.

Sizing is not accurate
I measured my size as per the osprey instruction 20.5 inches showed I could use either a medium or large size backpack. Only 2 size options offered on Amazon S/M or L/XL so I ordered the S/M which turned out to be way to small….l am now concerned if I order the L/XL will this be big enough for me…I am not a big person only 6 feet tall hips 32 inches…confused and concerned about Osprey size measurements

High Quality and Versatile
This worked perfect for hiking the Camino Santiago. Lightweight, yet lots of support. Tons of room with lots of versatality. Waist strap pockets are a little hard to open/close while pack is on, but nothing major. This backpack is definitely worth it - you will not be disappointed.

Excellent for long/short walks
This backpack is perfectly designed to distribute weight on shoulders, back, and waist.I did carry 20+ pounds on 18 miles walks and experience no pain at all after 10 days.
