Excellent for using with an ultralight tent that uses trekking poles
I have an ultralight tent that uses the trekking poles for the tent poles. A Drop X-Mid 2 Person tent.Sometimes I'm hiking, other times I'm in a kayaking or bike-packing. That is when these come in.

Not for me
They didn’t quite work for me. They were a bit too skinny so they dug into the ground and didn’t hold very sturdily. Two stars because they are very lite and seem like good build quality.

Perfect
Just the right size to fit Lanshan 1 or 2, Lanshan Pro 1 or 2 and Mier 1 or 2 tents. They are light weight and sturdy.

perfect height and less obtrusive than a trekking pole
I use it for the back support pole in my Big Agnes Scout tent, perfect height and less obtrusive than a trekking pole.

Works great but needs an option
I have a net tent cape combo and it ended up a DIY project. The cape and net tent have a grommet the ends up at opposing ends of this pole. The tent has a flap over at the top which facilitates trekking poles or sticks or the round end of this pole. With the cape and the round end the cape grommet ends up sitting on top of the round end vs locking with a peg and grommet and the opposite of flipped. I found a peg source online and sewed a small strip of material with a grommet to the tent to anchor the second peg when using just the net and pole together.
