Holy hell, it's amazing!
I've tried this type of screen protector in the past and failed miserably so I was a little skeptical this would be any different. And at $40 I'd be more than grumpy if that happened. Gratefully the instructions were easy to follow and the install went without a hitch. It even hid an inch long scratch that had bugged me for a long time. I've used film and other glass protectors in the past with different results but the result this time was nothing short of mind blowing. The protector literally looks like the screen and it's the smoothest surface I've ever touched on a phone. It's hard to describe how easy your finger slides across the screen and there are NO fingerprints anywhere. Not sure how they prevented them but I've never had a phone or protector do this. It's also case compatible, I have 5 different cases for my S20+ and they all fit fine without any issues. There are no issues with scrolling, typing and I didn't have to re-register my fingerprints either so this protector is a total win in all areas.I'm a little surprised at the number of negative reviews here but I'm 60 and have used all types of cellphones over the years and this is the best accessory I've ever used. Yes it's pricey at $40 but you get 2 protectors, 2 tubes of glue and 2 packs of accessories in the box. If I'm lucky this one will last the life of the phone and any future phones I'll buy will get this protector immediately. Thank you amFilm, you just gained a customer for life!

Excellent value, but not quite perfect
I've owned these screen protectors for over two years now, and just installed the second of the two covers that came in the kit. This is my second kit, so I have experience installing a total of 4 of these covers, here are my overall impressions:1. This screen protector is worth the money. It is not difficult to install, but care must be taken and one needs to follow the instructions exactly for a proper result. If you are not one to take a few minutes to read and follow instructions, this may not be for you. This kit requires that the screen be thoroughly cleaned with wet and dry wipes, as well as dust removal stickers for a proper application. The frame needs to be installed around the phone, the phone levelers installed and the whole thing placed on a level work surface, and also a sticker needs to be placed over the ear speaker to prevent it from getting obstructed by the glue.If you are looking for a screen protector that sticks on with friction or tape, or can be installed in less than 1 minute, this isn't for you (the whole application process takes about 15 minutes). If you want a screen protector that adheres firmly, looks and feels incredibly clean and lasts for many months with proper care, you're in the right place.2. During installation, don't skimp on the UV cure time. I did this the first time thinking the UV curing was a gimmick, but I learned the hard way it is not. I didn't cure it fully and the edges of the cover began to peel up after just a few weeks. The instructions state the UV light should be placed over each section of the screen for 15 seconds, then another 60 seconds each (for a total of about 4 minutes). I have found that a third round of UV exposure (a total of 7 minutes) ensures the glue cures properly and completely, even along the edges of the glass. With each subsequent installation I properly cured the glue and I never again had any edge peel up before experiencing other damage (my own fault) that caused me to replace the cover.3. Removing this protector once it has been installed and cured with the UV light is, by far, the worst part of this kit. I don't blame the manufacturer, it is just a result of this type of protector (liquid glue/UV) application. The glue cures on the screen of your phone, and removing it is very difficult. During removal, the edges of the cover can be carefully peeled up with some force, but each one of my covers broke and split during removal and portions remained glued to the screen of my phone. The rest of the cover needs to be scraped off the phone, which is not easy. I used a sturdy, metal-bladed putty knife the last two times, and it did not leave marks on the phone screen, but it is a lot of work and creates tiny glass fragments (almost like powder). However, it does eventually all come off, I had no ill effects from this and the screen cleaned up nicely after each removal. Once the screen is completely cleaned and prepared, the new cover makes the phone look absolutely brand new.4. Each one of my protectors lasted around 6-9 months. They did not fail as a result of defects and none of them cracked on their own, but rather because I knocked the phone about too much. I carry my phone in a thigh cargo pocket daily, along with a second cell phone, and the edges of the two phones rubbed together under significant pressure (like when kneeling down and the pocket stretched), which chipped away at edges of the screen protector. Had I treated them a little better I am certain they would have lasted much longer. As I said, with proper curing none of the edges ever peeled up, and none of the glass even got a chip or a scratch (other than the chipping from the damage I caused by rubbing the two phones together, which was entirely my fault). I have dropped my phone with these covers several times and never cracked or scratched the covers.5. The fingerprint sensor works when you register your prints AFTER installing the screen protector. This is the only screen cover I have ever used where the fingerprint sensor functioned properly, and I love it.6. Even with the difficulty in removing and re-installing these screen protectors, I am fully satisfied with the way they protect my screen, and I will definitely buy these again in the future provided they are available when I purchase my next phone.

Good product, bad quality control. Make sure the screen protector is clean!
Full disclosure, I have only just installed the screen protector, and have yet to evaluate its scratch/drop/water resistance. Having just finished the installation, though, for $40, I was less than thrilled. The quality control here is, pardon my directness, utterly terrible. The first thing I pulled out while opening the box was the red pin, needed for lowering the screen protector down onto the adhesive. And I kid you not, it looked like it had been chewed off. I have no idea how this happened. It could have been returned from another customer and moved into a new box, or perhaps it melted in the summer heat somehow. Either way, it made installation unnecessarily difficult, as I had to fiddle with it to get it to slide into its respective slot in the installation frame. My second gripe is that despite me having done the installation perfectly, and having cleaned my screen to a mirror-like finish (and by the way, their wet wipes leave scratches in your screen...), after pulling off the sticker from the back of the screen protector and gluing it down, I was appalled to see that despite my efforts for a perfect process, there were specks of dust BEHIND THE STICKER, which is meant to keep the screen protector clean and prevent scratches. So now there are irremovable specks of dust in between my screen and the screen protector. I did get a small bubble, but that was easy enough to push out with a couple Q-tips and some patience.Apart from these issues, though, I will say that the process from a technological standpoint was impressive, and I'm sure the team at TechMatte have put plenty of work into making a good product. The glass screen protector is perfectly aligned, fits cases well, and the fingerprint sensor, while noticeably slower, still functions perfectly. However, they made the mistake of outsourcing to poorly-managed Chinese factories, and their quality control is lacking. I would still recommend this to a friend, but I would advise them to just be cautious and wipe down both their screen and the screen protector with the dry wipe only. There are two screen protectors in each box, so I may attempt to redo this to avoid those specks of dust. I have attached images to this review for your reference.

Complicated installation, but perfect result
Pictured: everything included in the box (minus the duplicates used for the first installation, since I took this after), arranged roughly where they go and somewhat in the order you need them. I love that they included a little level.-------- Installation --------So first off, the installation is pretty complicated. I spent more time installing this than I ever have with any other screen protector. However, I've also never had a screen protector that needed to be cured under UV.First hitch was there were supposedly supposed to be things to help level the phone included, which after a thorough inventory, I had no idea what those were supposed to be. Afterwards, I realized there were some thick plastic strips with adhesive on one side that weren't used--I think this may be them. I used the spare adhesive absorbers to lift it enough so the camera bezel didn't tilt it.Second, after dropping the adhesive on, it took forever to spread. The instructions say 2-3 minutes, I think I waited at least 10. I did end up very, very gently pressing to spread the adhesive to the last two corners, and tilting the phone, both which it says explicitly to not do. I think the reason it says to not press is because the protector is basically floating on a layer of adhesive, and pressing on it causes the adhesive to thin in that area and squish out the sides. if you need to adjust the positioning, do it very, very carefully, because the protector will slide easily.I definitely was not as careful as I should've been with it, and possibly because of that, or possibly just naturally, I ended up needing to clean adhesive off the sides of the phone after curing it--it wasn't hardened, more like a gluey that I could almost rub to roll off.I timed the UV light--you need to move it in sections on the phone, which also wasn't super clear--I couldn't really tell how much of the phone it was covering at a time. But I did my best, and kept it to time. I think that possibly a mistake that other reviewers have made is over-curing it--I suspect that the adhesive cures to a similar gluey texture that I found on the outside, enabling touch to register through it.-------- Fit --------In the end, it fit perfectly--the glass goes right to the edges where the curve starts, and I think it even has a very small curve itself, though it's hard to tell. It does not cover the curved edges--I feel like this is an actually a benefit, since it makes it compatible with even bulkier screen protectors. There's maybe like 1cm on the sides, and ½cm on the top + bottom it doesn't cover--however the display doesn't even reach that far, so it covers 100% of the display area.------ Touch sensitivity ------The touch sensitivity is great--I've noticed zero difference in it pre and post application. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor was already annoying and didnt seem to register half the time, and that hasn't changed. There's not a perceptible difference in its sensitivity. I did also boost the touch sensitivity on the phone just in case, which can be found in the settings under Display>Touch Sensitivity. It's just a toggle that says it "increases the sensitivity for use with screen protectors". I also re-registered my fingerprints as recommended. As a slightly unrelated tip, I found it helps with recognition to register the finger you use most as two different fingerprints.DurabilityI've only had it on for about a week and a half, but I drop my phone often and it has zero damage to it. It seems quite sturdy. So, overall, despite the nuanced application process, I would definitely recommend this based on the result. I had a film protector prior, and it got a rip in it within the first couple weeks--they just don't offer the same level of protection. I would say this is worth the price, assuming it continues to hold up.And, now I have a UV curing light! I wonder if it can be used for gel nails? Hmmm.....
