Okidata ML490 24-PIN IMPACT PRINTER

Simple set up, doesn't come with any cords my old cord from the previous Oki worked. Printing time is slower than expected but the print quality is worth it. Just need to check what ribbon I need to stock on.

This printer was listed as “new”, but is clearly a reburbished unit. The user manual is a photocopy of an original, the driver disk was not in original packaging and there was an optional connection that has me baffled as to how in the world you’d use or why you would use it. I had to download additional drivers to get to a point where my computer would even recognize it. Going to use it as long as I can and pray I get my money’s worth out of it.

We've used four of these printers in our office for label printing. Sometimes a little loud, but works perfectly for our application.

We have been using this printer for years and when the old one finally quit we bought this new one. Just plugged it in and started using it .. Such and easy transition and these printers last for years..

Very reliable and holds up well after thousands of forms over 6 years!

We use a dot matrix printer for printing invoices. The upgrade to Windows 7 made our old Panasonic non-functional. The Okidata was instantly recognized and is much faster than the Panasonic. Whisper quiet and fast. We couldn't ask for more. I also require 24 pin for print quality and I got exactly what I expected.

We use these printers for mufti part form printing at our office and printing smaller tractor fed forms in our warehouse. They was easy to install over our network and the directions for setting up are clear and accurate. They are loud but most of these printers are.

Better font control would have made this item a home run.
