I’ve only used Fluidmaster products in my maintenance career, so this was an easy choice for my home toilet. Guest toilet had a constant leak that wasn’t the flapper or any of the usual suspects. This flush valve solved the problem. The included wrench for the bottom nut was a nice extra.

My toilet was running for a bit every hour or so (the classic "phantom flush"), and even after replacing the flapper, the annoying ghost running continued. I realized the problem was deeper, so I bought this Fluidmaster Universal 2-Inch Flush Valve Repair Kit to replace the entire assembly. That completely solved the problem no more leaking!As far as installation goes, it is fairly straightforward and definitely doable even for a novice DIYer. It does take some patience and time to get everything apart and put back together. The most critical part of the process is making sure the top tank/bowl aligns perfectly to the seat when you reinstall it. If you don't get that alignment just right, you might experience minor leaks from the tank bolts or gasket. However, once I got everything lined up properly and tightened down, it sealed up perfectly.If you are dealing with a persistent running toilet that a new flapper won't fix, this full kit is exactly what you need. Highly recommended!

You can call a plumber and pay over $500 to have your toilet replaced, or you can purchase this kit and fix your existing toilet.I was told, by a plumber, to replace my toilet. The fill valve, between the tank and bowl was leaking. I decided to give this kit a try BEFORE dropping over 20 times the amount of money on a new toilet.I followed the included instructions and had my toilet fixed in less than an hour.There’s no constant noise from water running anymore. The new valve DOES NOT leak at all and functions perfectly. I have a new toilet! And I fixed it myself!If you’re not comfortable performing this repair, look up some YouTube videos. It’s a much simpler repair than what any plumber will tell you!I’m very pleased with this kit and would recommend it to anyone that doesn’t want to shell out 500 dollars or more for a new toilet.

This fixed my flush valve issue but the flapper came leaking. I diagnosed the leak to be coming from the side closest to the overflow valve. The flapper seals perfectly fine when unclipped. Starts leaking with clipped back on.Turns out, the previous flapper (also Fluidmaster) looked like whoever installed the previous one also carved a little further into the plastic so the flapper could sit properly.Otherwise, the tool is very nice to have, but can also encourage overtightening and potential cracking of the flush valve plastic. Moderation.

I've had a problem with a leak for some time now, and it's been driving me crazy. I tried replacing the flapper several times, but as it turns out there was a crack in The overflow tube that was allowing water to slowly seep out.This item arrived the day after I ordered it and I just installed it this afternoon. I've never performed this repair in the past, but it was a lot easier than I was fearing. Best of all, problem solved! I don't know how much a plumber charge is to perform this service, but for me, this was a great value for the money.

The product was fine except there were missing parts. The box was pretty beat up and the hardware was not in a bag. One of the nuts was miss and the friction ring. Fortunately I found a spare nut in my junk drawer and I made a new friction ring from a tissue box. I made it work.

The hardest part is getting the old flush apparatus off.Once off easy to install the new equipment

This did not fit my toilet tank, so I returned and I went to home depot to look for another kit, just to see this one there for about $26.

East to fit when rusted original cistern bolts removed. Works well.
