Quality Motor and fast/easy installation
First of all the service was very prompt and professional. Ordered the full motor assembly. Very well made no complaints about the gauge of the metal as some reviewers complained about. My installation was in a sloped ceiling. Assembly fit like a glove into the existing fan housing. Had to do a little tweaking with the back adjustment screws to the motor and fan to spin without hitting existing housing. Installed in 15 minutes and it works perfectly. Thanks.

That was incredibly easy to replace.
Update: Didn't even last 2 years before needing replacement. Rubber plugs wear out incredibly fast, making this a poor choice.Well that could not have been easier. A single screw, unplug and drop out the old one. Vacuum and clean while you're up there (don't be a dirty bugger) for best results. Installation is simply place it up, tighten the single screw, and plug it in. Relatively quiet, it's not disturbing. Don't know what the original sounded like, so can't compare.

Bad build quality
It works, but I shouldn’t have to take it apart to re-shape the bracket and add washers so the fan blade doesn’t hit the housing. “F” for build quality and quality control.

Perfect Replacement
I couldn't believe it arrived cross-border in just two days. The expected delivery date range on the order was about 5 - 10 business days I believed so I thought I had to live with the noisy dying bathroom fan for another week or two. It took under five minutes to install but I had to take it out and reinstall again because the plastic fan blade unit was pushed down and touching the metal housing during delivery/packing. After lifting the fan unit off the metal housing, all was good and now I have a quiet working fan again. Too bad the product is not offered on the Canada site and I had to pay extra for the import deposit fee.

Bad Grommets!!!
While the parts appear to be original (motor says 'Broan' on it) the grommets were bad on both units I bought. I bought 1 to install and 1 for a spare about 5 months ago. The first seemed ok but the grommets disintegrated after 5 months. Was going to install the spare but the grommets were bad on that as well. Installed the grommets from my 17-year-old fan and now it works fine. There is an 'upgrade' on the hardware and that may contribute to the problem.Going to buy some grommets and install those. As we have 4 of these fans installed, I'll keep these for spares. Most likely will not buy another Broan/Nutone product.

PERFECT FOR BROAN (S80U-A) FAN REPLACEMENT!
Great OEM service part specifically for their BROAN (Hartford,WI) Exhaust Fan model #S-80U-A. (Mine was approx. 15-20 yrs. old,, it had been thoroughly cleaned several times, but was becoming noisey). This "plug & play" service part installs onto 2 support prongs on the housing, and is fastened in place with only 1 screw! Then the motor plugs right into the old fan housing with a cord/plug identical to the original.Part arrived packed in BROANS corrugated packaging complete with special "roll-up" cushioning inserts to protect the plastic (squirrel cage) fan blade.😀The BROAN part mumber for this service part is S97013569 (for S80U-A fans), and, BROAN'S number for the motor only is 99080448, and fan is 99020270.It IS fairly quiet with only a "tell-tall background hum" while running.🙄 (Could barely tell the fan was running with the shower turned on, etc.)Saw other reviewer's concern expressed regarding the noise related to "bracket hum," but, my hum seemed pretty typical/normal.This part's bracket finish is galvanized, the original was black paint, .New grommets seemed fine, but needed to be evenly tightened.Did'nt think swapping only the "plates" around would Increase sound dampening).👍🏻🎶🎈

Like other reviewers
Fan/motor gave a noisy hum until I swapped the mounting plate for the old one -- this required removing and remounting the motor/fan unit onto the original mounting plate. The new one was made of thinner sheet metal and this apparently caused increased vibration and droning or humming. Very quiet once the swap was made. Like other reviewers, I noticed the grommets were worn and torn, made of very soft rubber, and I replaced these with new grommets from the hardware store. I think I busted the new fan trying to jockey the unit up into the fan housing; took over an hour to clean the old fan blades -- full of oily fuzz. Took about 3 tries and six hours or so. Next time I'd just buy a new motor or hire an electrician.

Perfect fit
I was going to just replace the motor but this complete assembly made the job easier to reinstall. No modifications were needed. I recommend if you can match your part numbers.
