Purchased for computer gaming room. It gets pretty toasty in there, and house A/C cant compensate for a single room without freezing the house.Install: The window mounting bracket for a 24in wide bay window was too large. I had to cut off 3in to make fit in window, and make a 2inch riser out of wood and wrapped it in electrical tape to protect from the elements for it to clear the lip of the window on the inside. Furthermore the bar was 1/4 inch too thick to fit in the grove on either end so I also had to trim that off. So if you have a small window and or a little shelf on the inside of the window or both like me you may need to do a little cutting and making a riser to make it work.Operation: WIFI setup to the device was simple enough. Nice and cold air. Do note that the air does not come straight out the front of the unit. Due to the vertical hamster wheel blower, (The white part in the pictured vents) the bulk of the air pressure facing the unit is blowing to left mostly so anything to the left of the unit is gonna real cold. I had to put some cardboard up in the interim till I find a better place to put it. It was freezing me out at my desk. Yet my wife desk is just fine no air flowing directly on her.

Thankfully I had a power saw to cut the plastic window fitting. It's pretty sturdy and won't cut with just a sharp knife, so be prepared for that. Other than that modification it went together easily despite vague instructions. The temperature does display in Celcius not Fahrenheit so there's that too. Packaging for delivery was great and it could be reused if one were to move to another residence. No complaints at all about cooling. Not using the remote or WiFi options presently.

We found ourselves in the middle of the worst heat wave down in Southern California and had to get an AC unit quickly. Well this seemed like a good deal and all plus it would arrive quickly so we wouldn’t have to suffer without AC during upcoming 100’ + temperatures. Well got it installed as directed and used the vent to make sure the hot air would go out a window like expected. The plastic tubing was a pain but we got it sorted out. Turned it on and it seemed to work as expected. Until later in the middle of the night, I woke up to hear a sort of clunking sound and the unit seemed to shake a bit. It only lasted a sec or two and I went back to sleep. Woke up the next morning and my room seemed warm, like just a fan blowing around warm air. Figured the unit timed out and went to fan mode. Well as my day off progressed from warm to extreme heat warning, the unit was barely functioning and mind you this is day 1 after receiving it. By mid afternoon no more cold air was coming from this thing only warm actually hot air was flowing freely out of my new 300$+ AC unit. What not okay. My last ditch effort was around 3pm on the hottest day of the year and the unit literally was banging all around and moving about on its own. Um no thank you. Freon isn’t a joke and I know this isn’t how an AC should operate by any means. So basically we got a total of 6 hours of use out of this thing during a major heat event and it’s heavy and it’s not an easy task to return, but I think there is free pickup through Amazon. I’m totally disappointed and yes I get it, I wasn’t super prepared but that’s why I have Amazon for convenience and the ease of online ordering and free shipping. Well the heat event is coming to an end and luckily a friend let us borrow a small window unit that’s keeping our back addition cool all day. I know these portable units have to be very carefully shipped with little disruption to their packages, the box was perfect too. Who knows what happened got turned upside down maybe during the shipping process?? So no I do not recommend this AC at all. It’s being returned ASAP. Just a big sweaty waste of my time and energy.

I don't normally leave reviews, but I thought this might help some people who might need an extension for the exhaust hose. I looked everywhere to look for this information, so that I could order them together with the unit, but couldn't wait and had to order the ac ahead due to the heat wave happening at the time of this review. I had to wait until the unit arrived to find out the specs of the included exhaust hose, because this information is not available anywhere that I could find. Also, keep in mind that if your space has very poor insulation and air circulation (e.g. a bedroom facing east in a very old unrenovated apartment with a ceiling/roof that gets really hot), the unit may not be able to cool the space enough to be comfortable during a daytime heat wave regardless of how small the space is. It works great during nighttime though.

The air coming out is nice and cold, easy to install and is quite. It works well for one bedroom.

Order was processed and received quickly which was nice since we were about to be hit with a major heat wave in SoCal here. Installation was quick and easy and then the operation of the AC was simple. The bummer is that it was nearly impossible to adjust the settings on the unit itself which was remedied by the remote but then we found out that the timer option didn’t work. Finally the unit wasn’t capable of cooling the room significantly even though it was well within the sqft recommended.The item was returned and the supplier followed up in a very professional manner that we appreciated and even though we didn’t purchase a replacement from them they sent us a nice gift to compensate us for our troubles. I would certainly give them another chance if we hadn’t already purchased another ac.

This unit does a decent job of cooling. And, the exhaust hose does not get hot like others that I have experienced. It just feels a little warm, so it is not heating the air that I bought the unit to cool.

Love this unit. It works great. Only objection is that the vent can't adapt to the glass door adapter I purchased. The vent hose is to large. So I Jimmie riged it and it worked.
