This is the only belt that works on 2011 42" Troy Bilt Bronco. Aftermarket belts are too tall and won't release completely from pulley which cause continuous drive forward even when holding down the brake pedal. Put this on and lawnmower works perfectly. Save yourself time and energy and buy this belt 1st. You're going to buy it anyway after you realize the aftermarket belt you saved $10 on doesn't work.

My riding mower suddenly stopped driving mid-mow one day. It would start/run, just not go anywhere. Looked around in there and noticed the broken belt. I’m a late 30s woman with no mechanical skills, but my lawn was now half mowed and I was mad and did not have time for this lol I ordered this belt and got on YouTube the next day. I found a video with a guy with only one hand (in case you’re looking for a helpful video) who said if he could do it, I could to! Took me probably a half an hour to get it done but I did it!! And it works!

Belt was reasonably priced and appeared to be of good quality; however, it was three inches longer than the belt that I removed. I went to a local auto parts store and gave them my part # from the MTD manual, 754-0241A, which they looked up in their parts cross reference manual, and sold me a Gates PowerRated #6835, Industry Number 4L350K, 1/2" X 35". The Gates belt was a perfect fit and is performing well. Amazon refunded the purchase price promptly and sent me a mailing label for the return!
