Bunny loves it
This helps with less hay mess/waste and the rabbit likes it better than the loose one. I think it is more naturally stimulating for her to have to work to get the hay out. Bought 2 more for the guinea pigs!!

Flimsy
It does the job, but the metal piece is flimsy and has already come off the plastic piece and had to be fixed in place again.

Wonderful product
This is better than I expected. Even has a screw on the back to hold in place. The best packaging I have ever seen.

Way less wasted hay
I purchased this for my two guinea pigs in the hopes that it would reduce the amount of hay they wasted, and I am very happy with it!The product arrived on time and appears well-made and durable. I'm pleased with the fact that the plastic is thick and sturdy. The spring lock mechanism does a good job of keeping the majority of the hay in the feeder rather than scattered all over the floor. My boys manage to make some mess regardless, but it is way tidier than my last hay rack (just a metal rack leftover from building the C&C cage that I bent in half and hung over the side of the cage.)The only things I wish were that: 1) the product came in a bigger size. I usually refill this twice a day to keep my guinea pigs happy, and while it's easy enough to do it would be nice if it could be filled once a day. And 2) it was easier to mount. This rack is definitely designed for a particular type of cage, so I had to do some fanagling to make it work for me. There's a large knob on the back of the product, so if the bars of your cage are too close together it won't fit between them, and will hang at an awkward angle inside the cage. (The squares in my C&C cage are 1.5" and comfortably fit the knob.) There are also no hooks, so for a C&C cage you have to figure out a way to hang it. I found that paperclips or zip ties work fine.Anyway, I'm able to work around these slight drawbacks, and I think it's well worth it for the amount of money I save in hay. (I think my boys were trampling as much as they were eating before, and now I only have a handful of wasted hay each day.) Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would certainly recommend this product.

PERFECT! No more messy cage, they eat slower too, and I save money!
This feeder is great! Before I had one that did not clamp down on the hay and our 2 Guineas would pull most of the hay out and it ended up all over the cage (it became their bedding). I always hated buying hay just to have it cover the floor of the cage. Now there is ZERO hay on the floor! They are still able to eat every piece out of the feeder but they eat slower, seem more satisfied, and thus eat less often (we give them a handful of hay 3 times a day). I am now really saving money with this new feeder since I don't have to buy hay as often. On a side note, after going through a ton of leaky water bottles we finally just got a large bird water bowl that clamps on the side of the cage to use. It's a bit too high so we put a plastic igloo in front of it. They jump up on the igloo (which is next to both the feeder and the water bowl) so it works out fine. Before we had switched to a crock on the floor of the cage for water but it got filthy with bedding and poop in a few hours. Now that it is up higher it stays much cleaner and we don't have to change it as often and no more wet bedding from the leaky water bottle. I also try to crush up a Vitamin C pill (250 mg in a liter) because I hear they need extra Vitamin C in their water. So now our Guineas seem to be set.
