new knobs
love having the new knobs, they look great and they are designed a bit differently then the old ones, much more flush with the fan surface, less chance of dirt accumulating, did not like the price, would have bought just one, because that's really all i needed, but that would look odd and with what i spent on the fan having differnet knobs would look bad, the old one lasted almost 14 years before it dryed out and cracked

It worked, but too expensive for the part
I really didn't like the hood missing the knob so I paid the price. The part is fine, it may not match your old knob (mine didn't) but it was close. I would have given it 5 stars if the price was about half. But since it is so over priced, they get 3 stars.

fits fine different design
The knob broke that was on my Viking hood. The hood was 12 years old. In looking at the old knob the design was not very good around the area where it met with the dimmer shaft. I ordered two new knobs. Good thing because the style changed slightly. But the price I got them for shipped was considerably less then if I ordered directly through Viking, they wanted $15 to ship them. The design also changed on the knobs where they meet the shaft of the dimmer. So if you have an older Viking hood and you have two knobs you will want to order both unless having two different styled knobs do not bother you.

Wrong part
The part didn't fit, so I basically tossed it in the trash. Waste of time and money. Makes me wonder if part was indeed a "genuine" Viking part.

Two Stars
Overpriced

Much cheaper than Viking
Fit perfectly and costs MUCH less than Viking parts asked for two little knobs. Used to replace my Viking 6-burner fan and light knobs.Their tip was spot-on, if the knobs don't go on easy and there looks like two metal layers on the exposed rod knob, that's the inner part of the old knob. Remove that with pliers and you're ready to push these on.

Be sure the old knob metal sleeve is removed from white peg prior to inserting new knob!!!
4 stars not 5 only because these are expensive.... ***IMPORTANT FOR THOSE WHO SAY IT DOESN'T FIT"... So I could not get mine to fit on peg.. even thought it was lined up.... until..... I realized that the Metal "sleeve" from the original knob that had broken off was still in place!! .. So if your "peg" is black, the metal sleeve must be pulled off... then the new part fits.... maybe it was just me.... but hope this helps someone else! :-).

Pricey but it works
Expensive but it works. I don’t these are easy to find and it better than a metal post.
