Cool set
I got this for my neice because she loves this band. She really loved this. However she didn't open it so can't say much about it as she keeps this stuff as a collectors items. Would make a great item for teens that love this band.

Easy-to-learn game with BTS flair
My wife is learning Korean and LOVES BTS, so getting this for our game library was a no-brainer. I'll let her take it away:"I really like this BTS-themed take on the RAON game. It adds flavor to the existing game, without needing players to be ARMY-level fans. There are multiple ways to play, some a bit more complex than others. While you do not have to know or understand Korean/Hangeul (written Korean/Korean alphabet), for certain ways to play, it is definitely makes things easier. Having a basic understanding of Hangeul will dramatically change gameplay between players.I have been learning Korean for some time now and in playing with non-Korean speakers, there is a slight learning curve in the game (constructing the "letters" of the Korean alphabet). However, this is not a deal-breaker.Some ways to play are less involved with the context of the letters and more about the construction of the letters, which make the game more open to play with players of any language. Other ways to play can have a beneficial influence to players who understand even minimal Korean.Overall, it is a clever game to introduce people to Korean - and to BTS."

Hangeul spelling game with considerable limitations
Raon has four basic game modes that boil down to two basic methods: speed or turn based. In the speed games, players compete to spell words or syllables from the cards quickly. In the turn games, players spell words but it is more like bingo as you get new Hangeul character tiles one at a time. The game has penalties for mistakes in spelling so essentially the core skill being practiced here is spelling in Hangeul but the spelling is always done by looking at an example card. There are no meanings given for the words on the cards so you would need to look them up. The selection of vocabulary is BTS-focused. Some is from lyrics and songs while other words are general vocabulary. The weakness of the entire game is that it is just spelling in Hangeul. You won't need to memorize spelling because you always look at the card. There are only 45 cards. As any Korean will tell you, Hangeul was invented specifically for usability and it is not hard to learn. Most serious students of Korean will quickly be able to identify all Hangeul characters. There is no going from sound to spelling in the games. In fact, you need to buy a special pen separately to hear sounds of the characters or syllables-- the entire large fold out cardboard is for the pen to read.I think the limitations of the set will become quickly apparent. A more robust game would include a LOT more vocabulary cards with definitions and games that go from sound to spelling or from meaning to sound to spelling. You might even make your own additional cards and invent a game to use the Hangeul tiles with. Really, the tiles are the most useful part of the game. For Korean native speakers, the only reason to buy this is because it says BTS on it. The fun would be just spelling words quickly and I think that would not be too fun for long.
