The Perfect Bar for Serious Lifters
I recently purchased the Cap Barbell THE BEAST Olympic Bar, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. As someone who is serious about weightlifting and powerlifting, I needed a bar that could handle heavy loads and feel solid in my hands. This bar is an absolute tank. The build quality is exceptional, and it feels incredibly sturdy, giving me confidence during squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. The knurling provides a fantastic, secure grip without being too aggressive, and the finish is durable and looks great. While it's a bit heavier than some other bars I've used, that's exactly what I was looking for. This bar is a fantastic value for the price and is a must-have for any home gym.

This Barbell surprised me!!!
1st off Iโd like to say that I donโt write reviews. I was concerned about the packaging issues that so many mentioned in previous reviews. But CAP must have listened because they definitely upgraded their shipping boxes. The barbell came without a scratch. Now I have had a couple of $400 Rogue barbells that were shipped in the same chinsey cardboard tube method. But this new method is the best i have seen. As far the barbell itself, AMAZING!!! I thought I would take a chance on the $149 Beast and I am glad I did. The knurling is absolutely great. Not too aggressive and not too weak like the barbell that came with their bumper plate package from the sporting goods store. In my opinion, it is just as good as my old Rogue bars. Very happy with this purchase!!!

A solid bar for beginners.
It's an okay bar. Good enough for doing squats, bench and deadlift. I noticed a slight bend at 315 whenever I squat. Able to try deadlifting 405, but I don't think it left a permanent bend on the bar. I'm not sure once you go past beyond 495 lbs though. Overall a good bar. Would recommend for beginners to intermediate lifters. Thanks for shipping to an FPO address.

Seems great for my Wilkes 306 powerlifting
Nice bar. A lot better than my 30 year old Cap bar.

Great value
I'm not lifting 1000 pounds. For my home gym this is exactly what I needed. Everything works as expected, fit and finish are solid enough, size is correct - no complaints. Its a bar I put weights on.

Great starter bar or upgrade bar
I have been using the CAP "beater bars" as I like to call them so this one is a real upgrade for me. For most people this will be their starter bar. Either way for the money this is a good bar. It has a real warranty unlike the 30 days on the other CAP products, they actually put a endcap on it, it spins without being metal on metal and its rated up to 1,000lbs. The packaging was a real upgrade too since the other bars came with the finish messed up and the tubes they come in are beaten up hence the term "beater bars." Now for the bad. 1) According to reviews it has metal fragments that come off as the bar spins during the first few workouts, however thankfully I have not encountered that. 2) Many reviews state the bar begins to bend at 600+ pounds. I have no plans of lifting that much so I do not know if that would actually occur or if it used to be an issue. I got this on sale as a prime day deal for only $111 with free shipping so I am super happy with the deal I got. Now I have a full size barbell in addition to the 5' and 6' CAP "beater bars." On a side note CAP makes olympic barbell handles sold separately and they are excellent!
