I was stalking up on flour and rice and using 5gal buckets, these are a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to store vs buckets. I picked up a cheap hair straightener iron to seal the bags and some oxygen absorbers and I’m good to go and saved a lot of coin in the process.

I've bought smaller versions of these bags for years. This one is just like the smaller version but larger. I would consider the mylar on these to be medium weight, I would prefer to get the thicker 7mil but these are certainly heavier than the super light duty. The only real downside to these bags are they don't have gussets. The lack of gussets reduce the overall capacity, but they are still large enough to hold a bag or flour or two. In sealing the bags you will need to get a portable sealer or used a regular sealer in multiple passes.

Ordered these to store grains & cereals in. I live in a humid climate and buying in bulk can be difficult due to the humidity & bugs. I have had trail mix that grew larvae in it, much to my dismay, and it all had to be thrown out. I believe a moth got inside the storage container, and the rest is history.I have recently been purchasing cereal & rice in bulk and have had to store it in my freezer to keep it from becoming stale. I am going to try to use this bags to store the cereal & rice in, so I can keep my pantry stocked instead of my freezer.These bags are sturdy. Unfortunately, I didn't receive the ziplock closure bags, so I will have to fold these over and use my own tape to secure.If you are looking for sturdy Mylar bags for food storage solutions, this is a good option.

So far, these Mylar bags have been working out very well.I've been using them to store rice and flour and so far, no problems.Add the food, throw in an oxygen absorber, seal, and they're good to go.These are large, strong and hold a lot which makes long term storage of my food so much easier

I wanted to see how well mylar bags would work on storing some of my foods.These bags are big. It's nice because I have some larger food items I want to vacuum pack and needed larger bags for them.Works good with sealing. I just label each bag since I can't see what's inside once it's sealed.Nice pack of bags at a nice value price.

These are nice, big bags. They are sturdy and feel like they will hold up for years. They hold a lot. I was looking for bags that I could long-term store large quantities of rice, beans and flour in. These do the trick. I bought the ones without the ziplock as I plan to heat seal with an iron. I appreciate that there is a pull notch for when we do decide to open them.

Good to keep dry foods not go stale, whether that be cereal, oatmeal, or bread crumbs I made. I like to use it for dry things to keep it clean and reusable with other items. I have one bag being used for frozen chicken and will only use it for that to avoid cross contamination, just to be safe even though it's frozen.
