Q: My trees are 11 feet apart...will this hammock work?

We would not recommend an 11 foot hanging distance for this size hammock. The ideal distance for hanging a hammock typically averages out to roughly 2 feet greater than the hammock’s total length from o-ring to o-ring. It’s best to plan on needing about 15 feet of open space to hang your hammock, though in reality, the actual distance tends to vary anywhere from 13-16 feet. A good rule of thumb: The closer you set your hanging points, the greater the curve, or arc, your hammock will have once it’s hung.

Q: Does he it dip much in the middle? The last hammock I bought stretched so much my 2-year-old granddaughter couldn't lay next to me.

I use it on a steel frame, and I’ve had to stretch it over and over until there is no more chain left. It’s stable enough now for my wife, a 10 year old and an 8 year old but I suspect it won’t last me too many seasons until it hits the ground. But the price is ok and hammocks were hard to find this summer with covid.
