Burner

I received the burner today. The casting is very robust and solid. The packaging was also adequate. It had adequate protection and arrived completely undamaged. The regulator is also good. I took my time understanding how the regulator and air control adjustments worked. The unit puts out waaaaayy more heat than you will need to cook with but with a little practice it is very easy to dial in. If you are looking for a good hi temp burner, this is the one. I have a Black Stone griddle on a stand and and this fits in the griddle easily so I can use the Black Stone as a cook top

Individual control of inner and outer rings,gives access to flame power previously only available to NASA. Brass valves and air adjusters make me confident this is a quality product.....Unfortunately the outer frame arrived damaged, as noted by other reviewers. I hope the vendor can send replacement parts , i do not want to give up on using this great burner.

I like the raw simplicity of this thing. I got the 80,000 BTU version and man it throws some blue heat! The air intake and separate burner valves work well and are all metal. The included variable pressure regular and tune valves give you a lot of options to get the flame wherever you want. No plastic and not a lot to go wrong. I think it would be better if they included adjustable screw pipes where the Wok pot tabs are such that you could set the pot distance dynamically. I might just add these feature myself.

I was asked to make a cooker for a friend - wanted something like a jianbing cooker, but with some tweaks she thought of that would work better for her, and...she wanted it with a propane burner. Used this burner inside the 55 gal drum - gave me a range of temps (mounted under a 24" plate) - in doing seasoning of the top, I played with it a bit - I could get the cooking surface up to 950 degrees!! Holy cow! And that wasn't on full power, either. She wanted it to run about 300 degrees...dialed it back down - 300, no problem. She can make anything she wants from jianbing to potstickers to steakhouse seared steaks...plus, the top is removable, leaving this as a freestanding wok-burner. Very cool - good value for the money!

I’m very disappointed when I received the product. Both tubes that connects to the knobs are bended and one of the screw is missing. Box was not in a good condition when I received. Seemed had been thrown resulting to a lot of holes. This is the first time I made a review on the product I bought from amazon.

This cooker is just great. I really like the dual control, it allow me to bring the flame all the way down which wasn't possible with the single control, I expended a lot of time looking for a cooker that will have the camping portability, dual control and big heat, you can't ask for more. I'm very glad that I finally found it in the Alpha cooker.

This burner is very large--13" diameter, 21" long--and the basic casting is nice. Quality control is horrible. Mine arrived with missing parts, bent parts, and loose parts. Also, the box and packing is woefully inadequate (mine arrived with paint scraped off but thankfully unbroken).There are other burners that look like this; not all have separate controls for the two burner rings. If you want focused heat for, say, the center (only) of a wok, it's great to be able to turn the outer ring off.

At first I had trouble lighting the outer ring then I realized there is an adjustable air intake under the valve controls. Perhaps a novice thing to overlook but I'm sharing just in case someone else experiences this as well.Very powerful heat output and sturdy build that will last a lifetime if cared for. My friend saw it and had to order one right away... Well priced too!

Oh Boyz does that work!! We are set for Armageddon now boys! That thing works better than hoped. If yers handy wont take a couple minutes to dial up a good blue flame. BTUs are a mystery on these but its very high. 100k plus on both rings.So two rings with controllers for each. On or off independently. Air mixture underneath manifold as well as head pressure on the regulator. Powder coated is a heavy duty unit. Fit for the military. Impressed at the price to put it mildly.Fired right up first time. No funky regulators like Webbers crap regs....

Does the job! Burnt the hairs on my hand first few times until I got a hang of it . The levers are not too user friendly so I just use the main gas point to turn on and off .
