Beautifulk pictures, great descriptions, I'm glad I purchased it

This book is loaded with terrific color images showing/identifying seemingly every variety of coral to be found anywhere in the Caribbean. While truly identifying a coral by appearance is actually forbidden by the absolute experts, lay-divers like me love to find a reference like this to at least help get the common names right and understand the families. If you'd like to make a serious effort to know the names of the huge variety of corals you encounter, this reference beats any other guide I've seen - hands down.

The book is very helpful. The close-up colorful pictures make identification easier than other books we've tried and the listings are quite extensive. We've been using this for about two months. The description says paperback but it's a heavier paperback and seems to be laminated or has some sort of protective covering.

Photos are great. Descriptions are great. This is my go to book for coral ID

The book is wonderful and amazing, just this little problem in the page 4, but everything is good.

As a diver I encounter many different soft and hard corals. This is a great addition to my other id books. Paul Humann takes wonderful pictures that help make identification easy!
