But the mount it came with was pretty much garbage. So I looked to this sportway mount to get the camera up and out of my way.*What I liked*:It does work very well. Thanks to the clamp style suction mount it’s easy out on and take off.Thanks to the 360° swivel it makes it really easy to get a perfect viewing angle.The price is good, especially when compared to other mounts.*What I didn't like*:At least once per summer, the suction fails due to the heat. This is annoying, but it happens with another suction mount I have in my car so I suspect it’s just a byproduct of this type of mount.*The Bottom Line:*I’m glad I bought this mount. Thanks to how well it can articulate, I was able to mount the camera in the least obtrusive place on my windshield (to the right of my rearview mirror). Five stars out of five for a good mount at a good price. I would order this over again.

The suction is definitely strong enough. The mounting system is low profile (which is why I decided to try it). It comes with a plethora of cup-and-ball mounting accessories. So what’s the issue? Well, the cup-and-ball system of mine just could not be fastened tightly enough for my purposes (mounting a drone controller). No matter how hard I twisted the friction knob, it was fairly easy to just move whatever was attached to the ball side (even nothing) around. My situation requires that the system stay firm under a bit of bouncing around (on and off-road motorcycling). I didn’t even bother trying to put the drone controller on the setup — I knew it would fail.So it was not fit for my purpose, but it is a nice and inexpensive solution that most likely would be more than sufficient for any pocketable camera, phone, action camera, etc, etc. If the cup-and-ball mechanism could be made tighter then it would be even better.

TDLR: You get what you pay for. I have bought two because the suction cup eventually fails. I hate wasting the plastic so I am going to try and rig the second one to accept an adhesive backing that I will buy separately. If that ends up failing I will buy a more expensive adhesive mount.The first one I bought I used the adhesive backing for the mount. It did not last through the Texas heat. Went to the suction cup and it lasted for about a year before continuously falling off.Second one only came with suction cup. It help up for about a year and then slowly started to fall off more often. At first I would clean the window and suction every time I reapplied but then it happened so often that I gave up and have be driving without it on.Also, the universal mounts do not fit my cam. Making the camera vibrate quite a bit.All in all. Do I want to buy this mount again, no. But I didn't want to the second time. I am going to try to remove the suction cup and buy my own adhesive and see if I can install again. I would rather deal with the adhesive failing every once in awhile rather than have to continuously fiddle with the suction cup continuously and more frequently near the end of its suctioning life.If that doesn't work, I will buy a different mount. Possibly one that adheres to the dash so that the Texas sun isn't degrading it so quickly.

Bought this and the S504 the same day... this one showed up after my trip and is still in my car a week later. Great mount, great price, and a great replacement for my failing silicone mount. Love the flip lock & ball head adjustment! Very easy to get pointed exactly where I want and how far from the glass I want to mount it. Going to buy another to toss in my camera bag due to how solid it mounts and the extra adapters for mounting other stuff! Happy to get away from the gooey silicone mount too ;-)

I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are about. This thing stuck to my windshield like glue. It also had the right adapter to fit my camera perfectly (RexingV1). There is zero shaking or movement by the camera, even on very rough roads. The only thing I don't like is that a suction mount leaves the camera sticking out farther than the factory adhesive mount but I knew that before I ordered it.
