I purchase this to go to the beach. It really works great and you don’t have to use much. A little goes a long way. The scent is a bit stout. Maybe like burnt coffee but the after sun is amazing! The smell is wonderful. Makes you skin soft and locks down your tan.

I swear on Maui Babe if you want a fast, beautiful and natural tan. I have been using it for over 10 summers now and it gives my skin such a natural summer tan. It can be used on all skin types as it just soaks into your skin and you can put on as little or much as you want. It is not waterproof. I start by putting on my SPF, then apply Maui Babe all over my body and then I use a bronzing oil. Make sure that you rub it in really good because it can streak, so put it on once the SPF dries or put it on before SPF. I do recommend carrying baby wipes or toilet wipes so you can wipe off your hands because it will stain your hands. Be careful also when putting it on around your swimsuit as well because it will get on your clothes and possibly stain it. However, I have no problem getting it out of my bathing suit or towel when I wash them. I do use the after sun lotion once I get out of the shower and believe it does help to keep my tan last. My skin stays tan long after the summer season is over for about 4-5 months and I honestly believe it is because of the Maui Babe. I have heard of other people using it as a self tanner. The Maui Babe and the After Sun lotion do have a mild smell to it that does linger however it goes away. I do not have any skin sensitivity to it or breakouts. I do not use it on my face as my skin is sensitive to breakouts so I don’t want to use it on my face. Some of my friends do use it on their face and have not problems. If you are looking for the best bronzer to help speed up tanning goal then Maui Babe is your choice.

I have been using this product for years. It is unlike any other tanning product out there. You need to use it over suntan lotion so you don't burn. The results are a beautiful, brown tan, no yellowing and it works pretty quickly. Several friends have begun using it after they noticed I was getting a quicker, more beautiful tan, when we were out in the sun the same amount of time. It has a soft, pleasant coffee aroma, not overwhelming. The after-sun lotion has a pleasant fragrance and is very moisturizing. You won't be disappointed!

The UV today was 7 and I tanned for 4 and a half hours. I’m very pale and burn quite quickly but the tanning lotion made me not burn anywhere even on my shoulders where I usually always do. It kind of smells bad, not super bad but like soy sauce or weird chocolate but it didn’t really bother me much. I showered and then used the after lotion and it was very thick, smelt like aloe very and left my skin with this kind of non slip feeling like how your hands feel after using a hotel soap. It’s not sticky more thick and rubs on nice, I’d recommend if your goal is to be a nice bronze

Make sure to apply all over before laying outside, sometimes if I’m not laying outside and I’m just running errands I will apply this as well. You don’t need too much. Make sure to shake well before applying and this is perfect for keeping your skin moisturized! Another tip, DO NOT stay outside for too long to prevent getting sunburn and make sure to use the after care product to keep your skin from peeling. I will sun bathe a lot during the summer and hardly use lotion after wards. The after care lotion is amazing for that! I haven’t peeled once this summer. I highly recommend

Love the lotion have used multiple bottles. It really does help prolong a suntan. Very moisturizing very nice scent. Like a you know Hawaiian tropical coconut pineapple scent little plumeria in there. But the bronzing cream stinks to high heaven. It was sticky and it was gross so I never used it and I won’t buy it again. Definitely by the lotion, but not the bronzer.

I have never had a tanning product work so well for me. First off let me start with saying that how quick it works is based off of where you are in the world in my experience. For example, if you are at the beach or an island or somewhere the sun is closer to the equator, it works quicker. If you are somewhere further north, it takes a bit longer, but still not by much. I would say only about a 15-30 minute difference for seeing results varying UV index. This product has definitely made it easier to tan living up north. And the aftercare lotion with this stuff is *chefs kiss*. I would put the aftercare stuff on after laying out on the beach and getting red like Larry the Lobster, then would wake up the next day with a tan and moisturized skin. Plus, with working, it makes it harder to spend my day soaking in the sun(sadly). But I still have a great tan after a week. Also, I am a skincare finatic and this did not make my face breakout or anything. (It does also have a sort of molasses smell but it really isnt horrible). So yes, buy the product. It’s so worth it.
