Why is it $244 here but $169 on the little giant web page

I purchased it from Amazon - because the delivery was guaranteed for Christmas. I did not consider pricing in my selection of this product. I choose Amazon's excellent service record.

Is there any benefit to the Fiberglass 3-step, over the Aluminum 3-step?

The fiberglass version is lighter and has a 1AA (375 lb) weight capacity. Fiberglass ladders are stronger than aluminum.
