Dual 12" Cold Cathode Kit - Red

Beautiful.
So. I got these last night, they arrived pretty quick, seeing as I ordered them three days after a motherboard, paid no shipping on them, and ultra fast shipping on the motherboard and they still beat the motherboard here. They're fairly easy to install, the packaging gives you enough instructions to go off of, even though they're not very clear. Mine lit up pretty well, in red, very nice. I actually didn't have space for both in the main part of the case, so I set one in my cable management compartment to give that a nice glow. They're pretty easy to use, the connectors are a bit of a pain (litteraly) to disconnect, but that's not a big deal.I shorted my PSU to turn it on without my motherboard and these babies lit right up, both in full working order, and they look beautiful. I'd buy these again, and probably will, in the future. If you need some sexy lighting, these are the way to go. The Velcro is about a 7 out of 10 for strength. They use a really nice adhesive to stick to the case, no residue, and a strong connection. I wish the PCI bracket switch was not baby blue as my entire case is black, and my motherboard is black/red, and the lights are red. But whatever. I can scrape off the baby blue from the bracket. I wholeheartedly reccomend this product.

Bright Red Case Lights
This product exceeded my expectations. There is an on/off switch that mounts at the expansion slots. There is a connector wire that plugs into the inverter. There are 2 plugs on inverter that run to the tube lights.PROS:1. easy to install2. nice and bright compared to other products3. nice long cable from on/off switch to inverterCONS:1. You can only place the 2 lights a limited distance apart. The 2 cables from the inverter to the tube lights could be a few inches longer. If you have a full tower case, you will need to plan carefully. If you have a full tower case, I would recommend buying 2 of these (4 tube lights & 2 on/off switches)I had purchased 2m led rope lights that did not light up the case adequately.I purchased these tube lights as a brighter solution...much brighter than the led rope lights.

Great all around.
I have to say that I'm rather pleased with this purchase. They do have a slight orange tint, but most would just call it red.The wires are a little short. I installed these in my Phantom 410, and an extra inch or two on the wires would have been optimal. Larger cases might have problems if you try to put them on opposite ends of the case. The switch on the back is a good addition. These are rather bright, so they can be kind of annoying if you have your computer in a bedroom or such, so the being able to easily turn them off is a necessity, in my eyes.I didn't bother using the provided velcro (partially because of the complains other people had). I used the small zip-ties that came with my case.Overall, if you're looking to add some flair to your computer, these are very well made and very affordable.

Look Awesome.
Installed these a few days ago, and I still grin at my case when I turn it on.They are not Quite 100% red, they have a bit of an orange tinge to them. But they still matched all the red LED lights in my Cooler Master HAF X case. The guy that said they're pink either got a bad unit or is partially colorblind. It looks like a sith lord computer case now.The lights are nice and bright, colored nicely, built nicely, and don't seem to put off much heat. They are incredibly easy to install and come with everything you need, even a screw to hold the switch plate on the back of your case. The price is reasonable, and free shipping makes it a great deal.

Okay product. Cheap price, cheap quality.
This kit is just okay. As others have noted, the light is a pleasing red color when viewed indirectly (reflected off case and components), but is slightly orangey if the tube is directly visible. I found the brightness lacking. In my office with bright fluorescent lighting it was barely noticeable as any brighter than the existing red-orange LED fans. The wires that run from the tubes to the inverter are too short in my opinion. They limit the installation options. I would estimate they are about 12-inches long, but have not measured. The wire from the inverter to the PCI-bezel switch however is plenty long. The power wire to the switch is also sufficiently long and terminates in a Molex pass-through tap. Velcro provided was VERY sticky, which is great and leaves me confident they will stay in place much better than others that provided foam tape or nothing. Overall, I have owned better CC lights, but I will keep these because my gripes about them are not sufficient to deal with the hassle of a return.

My 12" RED cathodes were actually red
I don't know about the other reviewers, but mines were actually RED. It's a nice soft red as well. I also have the blue pair which are bright and nice. These read lights are very nice and blends well with the other LEDs you might have in your case. These are 12" lights so make sure you have enough room in your case to palce these. I have to give them a 5 star simply because the light is very nice and they have a on and off PCI button. Veru nice indeed. Worth the price and they were delivered pretty fast. I'm guessing since they are very light. Whatever you do, don't put to much pressure on them and DON'T SIT ON THEM BY ACCIDENT lol.

Garbage
I bought these to put in my new gaming system to give it a bit of flair. When they arrived they seemed like they may be a great addition to my rig. BIG MISTAKE. They literally began to fall apart when I took them out of the package. They failed before I even got them into my computer case. The wire insulation is so soft and weak that it tore on the plastic packaging as I was trying to put it back in to return it. The sticks barley light up. One only light half way up the stick and the light level would flicker and fluctuate by pushing lightly on the wires where they entered the tubes. I ended up just throwing them away. TRASH!
