Framers Masking Adhesive Paper Tape - 70gsm - 48mm x 50m

A fantastic 70gsm Brown self adhesive tape that I bought to re-seal the back of an old painting. It’s so easy to use, adheres very well, easy to tear and looks very neat. It is such a versatile tape and its performance is excellent. It is extremely good value for money as there is so much on the reel. I’m very impressed and would thoroughly recommend it and the service I received. I’m very happy and would definitely buy again, thank you very much.

I re-framed four large pictures using this excellent tape and believe I saved almost a hundred pounds. The tape is a good thickness, is easy to use and easily sticks well to seal and neaten the back of the picture. Good value for money as there’s lots of tape left on the roll.

Torn between 4 and 5 stars, the only minor issue with giving 4 stars was the price point. Would like to have seen this tape at about 20% less cost. On the other-hand this is fairly specialist tape, not the cheap masking tape you'd fine at the local pound-shop or stationary shop. It's also plentiful at 50m, and wide at 48mm. As you can see from the photo, there is plenty of meat on the bone (plenty of tape on the reel). This is the only type of tape for sealing the back of canvases around the edges, to a neat finish. It can also be removed with a Stanley knife if needed. Probably deserves 4.5 stars, but this value isn't available, hence 4 with recommedation for a very slight price drop.

Perfect for framing pictures. The colour blended in with the board at the back and made it look more professional when finished. It also hid some blemishes, as I was reusing an old frame and it looks like a new one now. Sticks well and is a good width and thickness.

I like the quality of this paper tape. I have a limited edition print which had slipped inside its frame. I selected this tape because from the description it seemed to be a close match to the original tape on my print, and the reviews were good. I was very pleased with the tape - it is indeed of a similar quality to the original, and it was a simple job to realign my print and then seal it up again. Would recommend, no caveats.
