Great sounding speaker
I have had my C603 speakers for almost a year now and am very pleased with them. The sound is very clean and detailed. The bass is not very pronounced at low volumes, but it is acceptable. I do have these in the bedroom, so that is not a problem. When the volume is cranked up, they have a nice tight bass, a nice detailed sound, and easily handle the 75 watts from my Yamaha stereo receiver (purchased from Amazon!). When I bought the C603s, I also listened to Paradigm Mini Monitors and the Jamo C803. The C803s were absolutely amazing with a rich, warm, detailed sound, but they were out of my budget range. The Paradigms and the C603s were pretty close in sound quality, but the dealer gave me a great deal on the C603s that I could not pass up. I have seen many questions about Jamo speakers on various sites. Jamo speakers are a top seller in Europe and can be hard to find in the States. They were once made in Denmark-my E600 series HT system was made in Denmark. To the best of my knowledge, when Klipsch bought Jamo a few years ago, production was moved to China.

Excellent Sounding Speaker
***Update from May 22, 2013***I replaced these speakers with a pair of new Jamo C601 bookshelf speakers. What a difference! The C601's indeed were brand new while the C603's were not.I can confirm that the C603's were not only used but probably had not been broken in properly. The sound of the C601's is much better than the C603's. This is not to say the C603 is a bad speaker. Just be sure that if you buy used, that you are getting a pair that was properly broken in. The C603's sounded like they had a veil in front of the instruments compared to the C601's which not only sound more open but also do HAVE the detail that the C603's should have had. Will post a review of the C601's pretty soon after they have been fully broken in.******Original Review below***Purchased a pair from a Amazon Seller. The sound. Smooth and mellow and fairly neutral with a touch of warmth. Probably lacking a little detail in the mid and high end compared to some speakers but at least they are not harsh sounding after several hours of listening. Bass was surprisingly good for such a small speaker. While it is no match for either tower speaker that I own (Mirage OM 10's and Castle Conway 3's) it is the best I've heard in a bookshelf in this price range. Sound is very balanced. Sound stage was pretty wide for such a small speaker. Now for the bad. They were billed as New but appeared to be used. The side of one speaker had a part of it painted with Gloss black when the rest of the speaker is a Flat black. And I noted some pink specks of what appears to be paint on the front baffle of one speaker. In addition, after more than a dozen hours of playing these, I did not notice any change in the tonal qualities of the speaker. Granted some speakers need dozens of hours to break in, but you should be able to hear even a subtle change in the sound after a dozen hours. Nothing.I sent this part back for a refund. I don't believe the Seller is responsible for this but likely his Distributor or bad QC at Jamo which is now owned by Klipsch. Overall, I do recommend the speaker if it arrives intact and is specified properly as either New or Used.

Simply best deal around!
Simply Amazing! Jamo C Series just blows me away! I have compared these speakers to many sets of speakers, Paradign Studio 80's, In Infinity speakers, B@W Speakers. By far I think the Jamos stand out! Such a crisp sound, And still able to give you some amazing lows for a bookshelf! I would buy another pair at twice the price! All I have to say is give Jamo C Series a chance! You will not regret it!
