The TRACE Short Style Softball Knee Guard is a single protective pad that provides excellent protection when fielding and sliding. It features premium 3/8 inch vinyl/ nitrile foam that is engineered to minimize compression set. The patented “keyhole” design on the side allow for superior flexibility. The spandex/polyester fabric provides additional comfort. The pad is machine washable. Measure calf area of leg for a correct fit: SMALL - 8.75 inch pad length, fits 10.5 inch thigh circumference and 8.0 inch calf circumference. MEDIUM - 9.0 inch pad length, fits 12.0 inch thigh circumference and 9.5 inch calf circumference. LARGE - 9.75 inch pad length, fits 13.5 inch thigh circumference and 10.5 inch calf circumference. Great pads!
Using this knee pad as an ELBOW pad went one size down (I wear a large knee pad, so medium elbow) and it fits great! Best elbow/knee pad I’ve ever purchased. Doesn’t slide at all and gives you get flexibility with the double straps. They are nonadjustable, fits to size only. Great use for wrestling, basketball, volleyball, & I’ve used pads like this for coaching hockey for a little protection against falling.

Great sliding pad - order a size up
I play adult softball, and was tired of tearing up my legs. Plus, the dirt is exceptionally hard where I play - like concrete. I generally wear a women's small in both tops and bottoms, so initially purchased a small, but the small was TINY. I could barely get it over my ankle. It felt like a child's size. I exchanged it for a medium, and the medium is perfect. So, if you're debating, go up one size. Beyond that, the pad has been excellent. Out of habit, I wear another, tighter, smaller (Mizuno) pad underneath for extra support, and the duo of knee pads has worked perfectly. It's a great value for the cost - very worth it to protect your legs.

I sometimes wear them for BJJ practice and they do the job, plus, they don't have anything behind the knee so there is no additional pressure then kneeling etc. - I wash and dry them (machine wash/dryer) every time cause of the smell, but they seem to be fine with that too

Not a pair
Two things.It is a REAL Trace knee padBut I did not read close enough at the description to see it was only 1 pad not a pair.

Seems to be a good pad but the sizing is way off, go way smaller than what it says.
I think the pad itself will work for what you need it for baseball or softball, but the sizing is WAY off on the sizing chart. I am 5'5" 130 lbs and I took my measurements and it said I needed an XL! I probably actually need a medium based on what I saw with the small I got for my son. I purchased for my son going down a size even from what they said his measurements would be and it was still way too big, so it went back.

Tried 2 different sizes and neither fit. Their sizing chart is crazy.
I give up on this product. I’ve used a pair for a long time and they’ve been great, but have finally worn out. Now, I can’t find a size that fits. Got a size large and they were so tight as to be unhealthy. Tried an extra large, and the straps are still too tight, but the pad is much longer and sticks out too much to the side

I really don't feel I'm totally qualified to review this product, but my daughter says it fits okay yes. She hasn't had to do any hardcorde sliding with it yet. Hoping it will still fit next season

I wore these when I played college basketball and just bought them for my daughter. She loves them.
