BLACK+DECKER MATRIX Knife Sharpener, Sander, and File 3 in 1 Tool Attachment (BDCMTDSFF)

The media could not be loaded. I have just about every available attachment in the Black & Decker Matrix system, so when I saw this I had to add it to my collection. I intend to use this in connection with the refurbishment of a table with a nice tumbled marble top, but rust on its legs. This will allow me to get into the nooks and crannies to prepare the legs for a fresh coat of paint.As with other tools in the system this one simply snaps onto the Black & Decker Matrix power base (sold separately) which then requires a compatible 20 volt battery (also sold separately) for power. Once all 3 are connected you've got a powerful tool that will make any job much easier. (*For safety I always disconnect the battery from the base BEFORE adding or removing any of the various heads with this system)As a homeowner and DIYer I recommend this system, and this tool in particular. I have many other tools in this collection and I have used all of them at one point or another. I now have two large tool bags dedicated entirely to this system of tools. And I can switch between tools quickly and easily.

Works really well to give the thick razors that are used with robot mowers a few more uses before discarding. Works well for small sanding jobs too!

I have Black Decker Matrix system, this attachment comes in handy when sanding small edge areas when big sanders can't reach, the price is on the high side. I waited for awhile when price finally comes down a little.

I truly appreciate the Matrix system and this little belt sander is an excellent addition!This attachment is as aggressive or gentile as the belts grit demands. whether using the flat, round tip or the top stop, You'll be able to to tackle the sanding jobs with ease.There are also bevels to guide you in knife sharpening, ( a feature I have not used yet ).This fits both the corded and cordless power bases.

B&D do not list this accessory on their product page. I know that it originated from the Porter Cable range so I suspect that its an unofficial add on.Although badged as B&D, it is not packaged the same as it comes in a cardboard box.Generally it does what you expect if it. The knife & sisscor sharper is kinda useless tho.I guess my biggest issue is that it can be difficult to separate from the handset body... Requiring quite a bit of twisting & pulling to get it to release.
