A study, easy to assemble and good looking frame with headboard
I ordered this queen size frame with headboard along with a queen sized mattress. My wife and I just finished assembling the frame this morning and it is well designed and easy to assemble. Like many people I've had my share of things that are supposedly "easy to assemble" that turn out to be a nightmare to put together. This was well designed and thought-out and went together very easily. To assembled bolt together "A to A" then "B to B" and "C to C" and so forth. Pretty simple. They give you all the hardware you need and even a few extra bolts and screws which is nice. Besides the standard allen-wrench they even included a ratcheting allen-wrench to make it easy to insert the bolts in the tight spots without having to insert and remove the regular allen-wrench a dozen times. They didn't have to do this but it was a nice touch. My one and only complaint would be that I wish some of the bolts went in deeper. By this I mean the headboard piece only. The bolts went in fine and seem snug enough but I would have liked if they were maybe another 1/4" longer. Everything is probably fine as it is but the bolts seemed just a little short to me but maybe it's just my imagination. Otherwise assembly was very easy and we had the entire thing done in just under 1 hour. Another nice touch is having velcro on the wood slats so they don't slide and move around. The velcro holds them securely in place. Another nice clever little thing they did. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a well designed, easy to assemble and reasonably priced bed frame.

Basic up front review
I got the Queen size bed. The bed is for my teenage son. We put it together very easy, maybe 30 mins. Instructions are easy to follow. Truly simple assembly. Of course always easier with two people. No screws, just bolts, and they are hex key assembled, so no screwdrivers needed, just the basic hex key tool, and the bed comes with one plus another one in a neat wrench-like from. Very cool to keep afterwards. Nice ground clearance, if you like a bed up on legs for the look, and/or also for storage, then this is for you. headboard material is grey color, looks nice, plush foam inside, it just looks nice and good quality. Headboard is not tall, I think maybe like 3 feet, but it is great (for us) because my son did not want some huge tall headboard taking up wall space. the slats fit on there perfectly... they were spaced out with a strap going down both sides, which is very helpful, and there is velcro on the inside of the side rails, so when you set the slats down they velcro to the strip on the side rails, which is just cool and a good measure to help keep them in place. And then two sticky strips on top are supposed to help keep your mattress from sliding off. They were def strong sticky strips. We put the mattress (no boxspring needed) on the bed, stepped back, took a look, it looked clean and simple... done! He laid on it, then so I did I, we moved around, trying to hear squeaks, creaks, stuff I figured we would hear from a $150 metal bed, but nothing... no sound. Maybe in time it will happen, but its a $150 metal bed frame... Anyway, very pleased, it is lightweight, strong, no noises yet, and really does have a nice look to it. Plus again, the height of it is great because you have great clearance, easy to vacuum under (yay!), and no boxspring needed, so it is a high bed, in a sense, with just a mattress, but not actually high, for my teenage son it was like the perfect height to roll over an slip right off the bed to get up. He hasn't even slept in it yet, so we will see how or if my thoughts change... but initial review is very very good. I'm just a regular guy who wanted a queen frame bed for my kid, solid and with a headboard but simple and clean looking, and with good ground clearance, and not expensive... and I never thought I'd order it online.. but I did, and I'm very happy, and this seems to be a great bed!

Assembled By Myself - This Saved The Day!
Have been sleeping on an air mattress for months. Wednesday disaster struck - a hole in a seem. After unsuccessful attempts to repair it, and sleeping on a 2" exercise mat, I first ordered a mattress in a box which was supposed to be delivered on Saturday. The next day I decided I better get a bedframe. After looking at several online and reading countless reviews I settled on this one. It was to be delivered Sunday (today). Friday morning, after a second night sleeping on that 2" exercise mat, I received a great surprise - both were delivered early morning! The box with the bedframe was quite tall, and heavy. I recalled another review where a husband laid the box down, opened it, and took each piece to the room where he would set it up. I did the same. Was easy. All the parts were there, with a couple of spares clearly identified as extra. A mini ratchet was also included. Picture instructions were easy to follow as each piece had numbered stickers which corresponded with the instructions. Putting it together was easy and I had no problem putting it together by myself. Can't weigh in on customer service as I didn't need it. Quite an improvement going from a 2" exercise mat (22" wide) to this queen size bed. Definitely recommend! Pros: 1. All parts were included, nothing missing. 2. Ratchet was perfect for the project and made it easy. Great addition to the kit! 3. All the holes line up making it easy to assemble. 4. Took less than an hour (about 45 minutes) to put together. 5. Slats a) Perfect fit so they don't move around. b) Design of the slats with velcro is genius! Have had antique bed with wooden slats that didn't always fit perfectly and they moved around. 6. Quite - haven't heard a peep, or squeak, out of it. 7. Looks great! 8. Good height. 9. Some storage space under it. Cons: None I can think of. Caution: Be aware of the weight of the box as it could be a struggle to get the box in the house or to safely lay the box down on the floor. Will update in a few weeks.

A few issues but donโt pass this frame by!
Let me preface this by saying this bed (so far) is easily 5 stars in my book however due to a few issues Iโm giving it 4 which is still positive but definitely some room for improvement. It was relatively easy to put the king size frame ordered together however the pictures would be more effective if there were some verbiage included otherwise it becomes a bit confusing on which bed parts go with which bolts (FYI there are two completely different bolt types labeled as โSโ). Other issue, not all the holes were properly set thus making it a bit difficult to properly tighten bolts. The good news is the 2 bolts this occurred on were not the only ones holding headboard on and were able to be tightened enough that the headboard isnโt loose. Now for positive feedback! If youโre looking for an inexpensive but stylish platform bed, buy this one. At least than $200, mostly easy to construct, and most importantly sturdy yet stylish this frame is a great buy. Weโve slept on it for 5 nights so far and we love it. No squeaking metal frame issues. Extra bolts included in package if needed later on. When we move the bed should be easy to break apart and put back together as well if necessary. Itโs easy to move yet solid at the same time making rearranging your room far easier than other bulkier type bed options. All in all, so far we love this bed and I cannot imagine the love affair will stop anytime soon!

Sturdy, but donโt forget the weight of your own mattress with the 700 lb limi
This bed frame looks great and today is our first time using the king. It has a 700 lb max capacity, we are 5โ10 and 6โ5 and weight about 500lb combined. The bed we just got is about 80lb. I have not noticed any sagging (this is the first night). But after reading some reviews, I decided to order a set of reinforcers. As far as the instructions, just insure you match number to number (1:1, 2:2, 3:3) as my partner, whose first language is not English, looked at me and said โthereโs no talking?โ Which yes, there are no written words. But once you stop looking at the pictures and just match up number to number youโll be okay. The headboard is super nice. We have a small space to fit a king and I didnโt want it to take up too much space, so this was perfect. Itโs a good height for my nectar bed. Overall, for the price, Iโm initially pleased with it. It was quick to assemble and they give you more than just an Allen key, they also give you an Allen wrench which made it go incredibly fast. Itโs obvious that the manufacturers took time in designing it from an aesthetic standpoint and functionality. One of us could have easily assembled it on our own.

Very sturdy, but instructions could be written clearer.
My Ikea Malm bed had the middle support beam and the slats and thin slat supports crack after five and a half years of use and I really think that's as much as I could ask from it considering my weight plus the addition of three cats and a dog who all sleep with me. I didn't feel like buying multiple pieces to bandaid fix the bed or tackle the store crowds during this panasonic, so my search for a bed that was not only sturdy but could hold my weight of 250lbs led me to a suggestion for Zinus on the Ikea subreddit of all places. A heavier friend of mine who has a different Zinus frame also attested to its strength and since I really needed a bed sooner than later, I took the chance. The assembly took a bit more time than everybody else said it would. I'm not mechanically inclined at all, so I'm sure that was the main problem, but also the instructions were a bit vague. The pieces are numbered, but since the instructions also included letter labeling that was not on the pieces, that threw me off. I ended up putting some pieces on backwards and had to unscrew them and do it again. I also realized that I had attached sidebar part 7 where sidebar part 8 was supposed to be, but since they are interchangeable, I didn't bother setting it right. No one knows my dirty secret except me and whoever reads this review. In the end, it took me a few hours to get it done, not the 30-45 minutes other people said. I absolutely love the ratcheted hex wrench/Allen key included with the bed, but they also include a regular hex wrench as well. But the frame is definitely solid. It's light enough for me to move the bed around when no mattress is one it, but it feels secure. There's no wobbling, no squeaking, no nothing. I forgot how firm my bed could be. Malm has nothing on this Zinus. It's higher up than my Malm which is nice because now I have a ton of space to stash things under it, plus my cats love it as a hidey hole. My only concern is that the corners where the sidebars meet the footbar seems a little sharp, but I can cover it with some tape or cloth easily enough. Speaking of tape, I like the sticky strip on the slats that keep the mattress from sliding around and that the slats themselves attach to the frame via velcro. Everything is stuck nice and tight. For less than $200, I really can't ask for more (except better instructions.)

Great Design With Easy Instructions!
My package arrived today and was very well put together. The foam protection and the box layout was very thoughtful. The headboard was the heaviest in the box and the center piece. I am so glad I spent extra for this model! I put all the pieces together without any help. The instructions are one of the best and easiest to understand. Pieces are tagged with numbers and alphabets. Even a 10 year-old could put this together. I am very happy with this purchase. Very sturdy and perfect for what I needed.

excellent design!
Had to put a bed in front of a window, so I needed a headboard to keep pillows from migrating to the windowsill but with a low enough profile that I could keep access to window, latches, blinds etc. I discovered that there aren't many free-standing headboards with a low profile, and even if I could find an affordable one, there was no telling how much additional labor/materials to make it compatible with the existing bed platform. This platform/headboard combination was EXACTLY what I needed for nearly the price of a stand alone headboard! PRO: one-part platform with wide wood slats and solid legs (upgrade from our previous two-part platform screwed together in the middle with thin metal slats, spindly legs and double legs down the center); fewer legs means more storage space, and it has excellent clearance for luggage; low headboard profile (which I wanted); easy assembly, padded part can be removed with tools (included) to clean or reupholster etc. CON: some purchasers mentioned that they would prefer some kind of lip around the top to keep the mattress contained, but I haven't had a problem with the mattress shifting, and NOT having such a lip around the edge makes it easier to have a bed skirt (technically another PRO)

Frame
It is very easy to assemble. I bought a 12 inch mattress in a box for it that fits great and doesn't hide the headboard. It is STURDY (no squeaking) and looks really clean and modern. I am very happy with my choice. I love the 14 inch space under the bed for easy clean, and you can use it for storage especially if space is limited. Plus it gets you off the ground and is easier to get into the bed then if it was lower. I am happy and recommend it.

Cute bed
Great bed for the price. There are no barriers on the end of the frame so the matress slides around sometimes.
