Good wax, it's what my professional waxer uses.

effective
Has a medicinal smell, like a faint tiger balm. Not getting any lavender. I grow lavender and make lavender syrup so I’m pretty familiar with the smell. I have a small wax pot and usually use wax beads that make a soft, thick, opaque goo. I usually have to go over areas at least twice and it doesn’t usually grab finer hairs (like most of my leg hair). This is very thin and runny, and it’s brittle if you try to apply a thin coat. I found it helps to add another layer immediately after the first so I can pull it off in one piece. Initially I did a very thin layer and I was just picking off hard little pieces. This wax gets everything and if you have a lot of very fine, dense hairs it’s worse than ripping off a bandaid. I didn’t have a problem with my armpits at all but after testing my legs and a bit of my jawline I was done experimenting. When I took it off my jawline I’m pretty sure I saw my life flash before my eyes. I’m sure it says somewhere on here not to put it on your face but I didn’t read it and if I had I probably would have tried it anyway. It is messier than wax beads, since the consistency is thinner. There are drips and strings of wax all over and I was trying to be careful by spinning the stick over the pot for a couple seconds (letting it cool off and thicken up a teensy bit). It also leaves little bits of wax all over if you aren’t careful about the edges when you apply it. You want to keep the edges pretty thick. If they’re thin and transparent they won’t get picked up with the rest of the wax and it’s hard to get all the little pieces off.

Best used for a Salon
I would say if you are purchasing this for a salon that has a huge wax warmer it would be fine, but this is not good for individual use. It comes in one huge solid block and made a mess everywhere when I opened the package. The purple color dies whatever it touches and was a pain to clean up.

Lid came off and made a mess but otherwise it works fine
The wax came in a foil container. It doesn't come as wax beads despite the description- it's actually a big block of wax. The lid came off and the wax shattered, making a mess throughout the package. The wax is hard and needs a higher temperature to melt, but once it does it's smooth and works as it should. The scent is very subtle. It has a vibrant purple color that looks nice.
