My 4-year-old nephew loved this as an addition to his Optimus Prime costume. I didn't realize this until it arrived, but the sword has a button you can push to make sounds. The sword seemed sturdy enough and stood up well through a full day of play. The shield is a very flimsy, thin plastic, so I took off a star for that. It looks nice, but I do not expect it will last long.

The sword is of the strong plastic the shield is of a very thin plastic yet that being said my son has had this for a little over a year and a 1/2 and the shield broke on one of the edges and the sword someone stepped on it and it bent I would totally recommend this product it held up for a long time

The shield is rather flimsy but the sword is great and my son loved it as part of his costume for Halloween. He still uses the sword often. Would recommend.

The plastic is a bit flimsy, so expect the sword part to bend out of shape fairly quickly with a young one stabbing everything in site. It has been enjoyed for months now and is still a toy I have to put away often, he always has it out on the floor somewhere. Def got my money's worth on this! :)

My nephew loved it. Helped me solidify my Uncle of the Year status. The sword is awesome, it has some née weight, and if swung hard enough by a 3 year old, it can really do some good damage. That kid is gonna be a damn good cricket player some day with the welts he left on my shins from this kick-butt Optimus Prime sword.... Good thing the shield worked properly so i'd have some broken bones! Love it!!!!

We love the look and the noises. The sword dented almost imadiately when my son was playing with it, and it has a big crimp line. The plastic is rather thin, but he still loves the idea of the toy and plays with it often.

My 4 year old loved this little set. The shield could be sturdier, but honestly it’s a great set. The sword has a button and it can make some action sounds when you press it. The sword blade is made of a bendy type plastic so it doesn’t snap in half, which is genius. I would purchase this again.

Any child who is into transformers definitely needs an Optimus Prime sword and shield. It has sound effects and it is light enough for a toddler to manage. I bought it for my three year old because he is obsessed with Transformers and his face lit up when he opened his package. The joy of seeing your child happy is priceless!
