Gets the job done!
Used this tool for the first time to remove tires and replace brake pads/calipers/rotors. It's exactly what you expect, a high quality Milwaukee tool.

Great product!
Impact tool worked great on tough lug nuts! I highly recommend Milwaukee 18 volt tools for power and quality. Great price if you already have batteries and just need the tool.

Good alternative to air tools
For a few months, I searched craigslist for an air compressor, at a reasonable price, that could handle an impact wrench. Realistically, I would have to spend 300 dollars to get a complete set (impact wrench, hose, compressor). I also looked at cordless impact tools and did not find many with a lot of torque and I was also worried about battery life. However, I came across the Milwaukee 2663-20 and I already had two XC batteries (very expensive otherwise). This wrench is very powerful and I have taken lug nuts off a truck that were torqued well over 300 ft-lbs as well as removing rusty front end components on a car that I would have never attempted without an impact wrench. I believe this tool is just as powerful as many half inch air wrenches, and cheaper considering the cost of a compressor.I have had a few problems with this impact wrench however... I live in the Northeast and have had trouble with this tool below 30 degrees Fahrenheit (I think it may be the Li-Ion batteries) and also I dislike the friction ring. The friction ring makes it difficult for me to put a socket on (although I am better at it now) and does not keep the socket on as well as I had hoped when loosening. If I were to buy this tool again, I would buy the 2662 with the pin detent, but I cannot comment on the 2662 at all because I have never used it. I am very impressed with the battery life but after compressing coil springs with this tool, I noticed the battery life diminished fast. Most other jobs should work great with this wrench because you are not impacting for more than a few seconds. I would recommend this tool to anyone who needs a very portable and effective wrench for cars or light duty trucks.EDIT: Dead after 8 years of part time use. Worked intermittently for a while but now is completely dead. I believe it requires a new trigger assembly but that part costs about 50 dollars. I likely will not repair it

The go-to tool for every mechanic
I ordered this impact through my mother-in laws account, hence the female name for the review and I wanted to take a moment and give a review on this tool. I have had the tool for two months and I have been nothing but impressed with its power. I bought the tool as a side tool to my 3/8" Milwaukee impact wrench, however, the ½" high torque bare impact wrench is used more often. I run my own mobile repair business in automotive repair and I have used air tools for years. Air tools are noisy and the hose gets in the way. I am also concerned with the hose rubbing on my customer's vehicle paint jobs. The power is amazing allowing me to remove bolts on struts, shocks, engine mounts, transmission mounts, cylinder head bolts, CV shaft hub nuts, and everything else I have given it. The tool has plenty of power for me to use extensions to get to hard to reach places. The problem with using extensions is the distributed torque is reduced from the tool to the bolt, however, I was surprised when I had 2' of ½" extensions and was able to break loose three 12mm bolts from a rear engine mount. I would also like to mention I had a ½" impact swivel at the end and the impact still took off the bolts with ease. The battery life is phenomenal dropping from 100% to 50% after three suspension jobs replacing all of the struts and shocks. At the end of the day I never had to recharge the battery. In two months I have not had to use my pneumatic impact wrench once. I am able to start working earlier and end latter because I can work quieter without the noise of the air compressor. This is the high powered go-to tool everyone should have when doing large jobs.

The right impact wrench-- Weekend Mechanics
I own a complete lineup of Milwaukee tools, both FUEL and standard M18. All of them have been great with the occasional issue that Milwaukee has always stood behind. Not a fanboy, I have plenty of every tool, just ask my wife... Anyway, great quality, very easy to use and priced right.I am often called on to be the occasional mechanic. This is capable of removing lug nuts on my Chevy 2500 HD Duramax and my 2011 Honda minivan with ease. Please ignore the past comments regarding 1/2" sockets not fitting. There is something called a friction ring at the top of the anvil, the part the socket attaches too. It is intended to keep the socket seated on the tool and does require a bit of effort at first to get the socket on. It WILL fit.Great deal ($99 04-20 Bare tool). Great tool! If you will use it everyday, save up for the FUEL version. Otherwise this is the one you want, especially if you are already on Milwaukee's M18 Battery platform.Does not come with a case, but lives in my tool cart. Who needs another case for God's sake....Just do it, you'll be glad you did.

Super happy with this
Delivered in a sealed box. I was pretty hesitant to buy this due to its low price (compared to the big hardware stores). I was really happy when i got it. The price is a little bit more than the chinese branded items here on amazon. Buy this instead, and if you’re cheap, like i am (lol!), you can get the cheaper battery and charger instead.

MUY BUENO
The media could not be loaded.
