Very useful. Slightly blue white.
I like this lamp a lot. Here's the down sides: The solar panel is too small to be much use, and I never got it up to "charged" in the sun, but I haven't had long full sun days either. The light is slightly blue, and sometimes I put a thin layer of yellow plastic around it (from a yellow grocery plastic bag), because blue light is harder on the eyes, but I've stopped bothering, so clearly I don't mind it that much. And the on button could be bigger and easier to push! But you just have to get the thing in your hands and look when you want to turn it on or off, and give a good push with the tip of your finger. When charging the lamp, a red light will go green when it's full. That's good, of course, knowing when you can unplug it.It can be hard to open, in two ways. First of all, there are three little teeth that hold the top and bottom together and they are not where you can press them when closed. For a while, I just made sure to not engage all three when closing the thing. I left the top and bottom of the lamp slightly ajar. But that got tiresome... then I laid a nail file on one of the teeth and pulled it across a few times. Problem solved. I absolutely recommend doing the nail file trick if yours is hard to open. (I got a similar lamp, and thinking it the same, did the nail file trick before assessing how hard it was to open. Ha ha, probably that one didn't need it!) And, as others have mentioned, when pulling the two halves apart, there is resistance that can make you want to pull too hard. The fix for that, again as others mention, is open the connection panel and leave it open. It just needs better air flow to improve that issue. That said, the charge lasts a long time, relative to some other lamps I have (which actually DO charge up under the sun!), and the light goes in all directions. The handle makes for easy hanging, so it is useful for lighting up a whole area.I got really excited when I saw another lamp like this with a crank to charge it by turning. I got one, and while I really like it also, it is not as bright, and doesn't hold the same level of charge. I'm glad to have both so I can crank if I run out of power, but if you will always have a place to charge one up by power bank, plugged into a computer, etc., this one has a better light level and longer lasting charge.

This light will impress you!
I bought this light for long run Kayaking/Camping trips. Size and weight matters on 2 and 3 day trips. This light was a excellent choice! The solar cell recharges the battery very well, and it has unbelievable battery life. The best part is, it is compact enough to fit in a jacket pocket. I was very impressed with how bright the light is. It is a very good value with exceptional quality. I'm 3 trips in and put gear through extreme conditions. I've dropped this light around 20 times now, and it never fails. I've even used it when my power was out at the house for hours on end, and it alone lights up a room very well!

Nice addition to the camping kit!
You have to be careful when pulling the lantern apart to its full size to make sure it doesn't get disformed, but otherwise a nice product! Super lightweight and takes up basically no room. The flashlight function is really bright. I also like the charging option as a backup plan for hiking. Lasted several hours during our last camping trip and didn't dim.

What I needed, when I needed it.
The day it arrived, it had good brightness, but I plugged it in for a full charge anyways. It took a couple of hours.Next day, we had to replace my mother's water heater, in a tight, cramped closet, with NO LIGHT, but this sucker we hung from a coat hanger, and it provided more than enough light, for the entire project. (We'd never replaced one before, so it took like, 6+ hours) Fully extended, it gives off excellent light for a room or open space. Squished flat, it was an excellent flashlight, that could also fully light a room or open space.Just a couple of days later, without the chance to recharge it, hurricane Zeta hit. We were without power for a total of 4 days, and WISHED we had more than one of these babies. The first night it provided all of lighting needs, still on its initial charge, from the day it was received. When we finally went to bed, we set it in the windowsill, and it solar charged for the day, and ran the whole night again, repeated for 2 more nights.I never tried charging my phone from it. We thankfully never got that desperate. I fully believe that it could handle enough of a charge for an emergency phone call or two, if needed, but I don't expect to browse FB all night from it or anything.

Versatile, handy light source.
When I got it, I charged it with my cell phone charger. (It was night). I turned it on high and ran it all night long. It charges well in the sun and connected to my computer. It is quite compact when collapsed, so it will easily fit in a pocket on your pack. I haven't tried recharging my phone with it yet. It is light and handy for camping or more serious situations. It's a good value for the price.

Small and usefull.
I like that this product is solar powered and last a long time per charge. We lost power for 4 days. During the day this lamp sat in the window recharging. At night it was on in the bathroom to provide light for any midnight trips. The light lasted all night but to be honest, we kept it on low. But it was bright enough to keep us from peeing on the floor. I'm glad I bought this.

Planning on getting several more
Bright, compact, easy to charge and use. Since I live in the area where the power is shut off to protect against wildfires, I plan to get one for each room in the house. I keep one by my bed, in case of an unexpected blackout. I love the versatility of being able to use it while collapsed or opened to a lantern style. Highly recommended.

Bright and useful
I love this SO MUCH, but the handle broke off. It's not like you can reattach it when that tiny nubbin pops off. And now I can't hang it anywhere, which negates it's use in many ways (like hanging it from the tent). It is very bright, though. I love using it as a flashlight/lantern. It is awesome for camping and would be cool for backpacking because the solar charge allows you to charge your phone or kindle. As long as you have a way to attach it to a surface or bag without the handle. I bought another for my daughter's survival pack and will continue ue to use this one. I just miss the handle loop.

Útil y pequeña, me ha gustado
Pequeña y da buena luz. Todavía no he probado la carga solar y como contra puedo decir que la calidad de los materiales no es muy buena, pero bueno por el precio que tiene no está mal.

Good little pocket light
This is a nice light pocket light that does triple duty as flashlight, lantern and charger. Looks well made, and love that I can charge electronics in a pinch. The only thing I'll have to be careful about is to not open the plastic too far when opening the lantern - it feels like it would pull apart completely with any rough handling. Otherwise I'm very happy with it.

Pretty surprised
It's pretty small which is what I wanted. I was really surprised how bright it actually was, especially with the second mode which increases the brightness. Overall exactly what I wanted for camping.

Great little lattern
I really like this lattern. It's very lightweight and has a good brightness to it. Not sure how the solar panels worked as I had access to a usb port so never tried it. You have to charge it every 2-3 days if using often when camping. Good price too, would definitely recommend.
