before I bought it, I measured the gap between the screws to make sure it would fit in place. The strike plate was NOT in the right location and had to be moved, but that was just moving the holes 1/2" back on the door frame itself. It is a great replacement, and a much stronger unit than the full sets I was looking at.The best part is it has a sliding internal lock at the bottom, which is what I most wanted. Sure, anyone can cut a screen to get in a screen room, but having a lock means you'll know if it happened! The description did not make clear that this can lock from the inside, but it does. I'm really happy!

It works, well. Replaced one that broke, and the new one seems to be sturdier and less prone to breakage in the long run.Fit the old spot perfectly.Recommended.

My old latch had broken and this one was a perfect replacement. It works really well. It arrived on time and in great condition.

Ideal Security Inc. SK10W Inside Latch StrikeIt is an exact match for the inside handle of our storm door so it was a risk-free purchase. (The spring in the original must have popped out after 15 years of use.) Installation was easy enough. In retrospect, next time I'll buy a front & back handle from this same manufacturer as I expect the spacing will match the door. (I don't know enough about doors and handles to say there's an industry-standard for spacing... but from the packaging, I am under the impression that may be the case) Anyway, the door looks great from the inside!

Product was very easy to install, the instructions probably should say to completely remove the old handle (both sides) to make it easier to line up the spindle and screws.Product looks good, operates smoothly and it only took us less than 20 mins to install. For someone who knew what they were doing - it would take 5 minutes.

I was able to replace my old latch within 15 mins. I used the video as a guide. It took 15 minutes because I didn’t realize the screws had to go into the handle on the other side. If I had know I think I would have done it in 5 mins.

Easy to install however it was stated it was your standard latch for screen doors. I did measure existing and compared before buying but didn't quite fit properly with existing handle.
